the rematch clause would need to be activated by the loser, they are not obliged to rematch if they get hammered, there will be a date to apply and if not they move on

If the fight is crap turkie might sack it off anyway

Zhang didn’t bother with the Parker one so far

Judges cheating? As in proven cheating, or just "we don't agree with the decision?"

Anyway, I realize rematch clauses happen, but it's pathetic that these two have yet to even fight (with all the delays) and they're on about fight 2…..

We all know judges cheat ,

Like Glenn Feldman in the Usyk v Aj fight , you can't possible believe he didn't try & cheat,

You may not like it but its part of the sport its not new , its part & parcel of big fights, lets not forget massive fights haven't l happened because terms of the rematch can't be agreeed before the first fight ,

Cheating must mean deliberate corruption. Unless you have clear evidence, then no, we can’t always know.

Sounds like you’re one who claims “cheating” anytime there is a “controversial’ decision.

    Teddy Atlas always at it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,751 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

There is controversial decisions & decisions you might not agree with & then there is judges that are clearly being paid off,

Ones like Eugine Williams in Lewis v Holyfield fight m In one round think it was 5 ? she gave it to Evander when he landed 11 shots to Lewis 43

I am not saying cheating doesn’t happen. But it’s not as common as some people try to bandy about

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,841 ✭✭✭squinn2912

some judges are either cheating or incredibly inept. Either way there’s far too much riding on it. Any word on who is the ref?

Only 9 days left. Think we should throw out our predictions.

    Usyk split decision: 116-112, 113-115, 115-113

Draw very possible: Split, majority or unanimous!!!!!

    Fury in 8 TKO

    Head says Fury to win.

Heart wants Usyk to put Fury on his backside.

    So Usyk!

Martin Bakoles trainer Adam McCart is stll adamant Martin stopped him with a body shot in camp last year

Saying there is no doubt in his mind Fury will stop him

If there is a stoppage in the fight due to power/strength (and not a cut/injury), far more likely Fury gets the stoppage

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,328 ✭✭✭OmegaGene

Bakole has massive power but nobody wants to fight him sadly, it’s high risk low reward

Fury by liver shot ko 😁

Happy to see either win as long as they deserve it

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,841 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Really hoping for Usyk to win and if he does I’d expect it to be medium on points not wide but not very close. There is a possibility Fury wont have the stamina and could get stopped late. Strong ref favours Usyk. Fury got away with an awful lot against Wilder but it is a fight not a dance. I expect Fury to get it done in 8.

Lot a speculation on Fury being in “awesome shape.” Wonder will his weight/shape translate to a better overall performance? Could be low 250s on scales..

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,346 ✭✭✭✭blade1

yeah we should see a better performance this time 😁

Fury engine for man his size is incredible. Won't be an issue.

Its a strange aul fight because we all know how Usyk will fight

So the question is what does Fury do, Will he make the right decision on how to go about it, that is what makes or breaks the fight ofr him,

Does he try to just go stick it on him & chase him down or does he sit back & use his reach & try catch Usyk on his way in or way out, Fury is capable of fighting both ways but it'll be interesting to see which one works the best.

AJ had chances to get Usyk out of there but the thoughts of running out of gas scared him out of putting the foot down ,That's something Fury shouldn't have an issues with

I think it all depends on Fury's legs . are they gone or was Francis a one off ,

every boxing pundit and YouTube channel is talking about fury’s weight, you’d swear he was getting married not going into a scrap

He’s too light he’s too heavy depending on the pundit, nothing else to talk about I guess

can’t say that with such certainty he’s not fought at the type of pace Usyk usually imposes. In Wilder II he was blowing hard from round 3

  • Registered Users Posts: 384 ✭✭Manc-Red_

Yep, Fury is in with a real boxing star that will be extremely difficult to beat across 12 rounds.

I’m going for an Usyk points win but with an early onslaught from Fury that will have him sucking on air by the end of 4th.

Ya I've made that point before too. He fought a hard pace that night and you could really see it on him and that's a long time ago now.

No way he would have been able to keet it up without slowing considerably had the fight gone longer.

Since then all his fights have been a much more steady pace. The third fight was frantic is spurts but not a sustained pace. The other fights have been very slow and steady with little to no credible opposition either.
