Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What does everyone think of Radio X? I haven't really listened to it but used to like it when it was Xfm. Is Chris Moyles or Johnny Vaughan's shows any good?

Chris Moyles reaches 196,000 in London on Radio X – that’s lower than LBC London News (239k) and Gold (201k).

i sometimes listen to it they play royal blood lights out a lot of time

Moyles is Moyles, love him or hate him, personally I've always been a fan. He still involves his whole team, he still has Rob DJ doing a slot and the jingles are still the same style.

I like the music selection too, but I've never really listened to any other show on Radio X.

Another cover presenter who may surprise you: A Place in the Sun's Danni Menzies is covering for Toby Tarrant on Thursday while he fills in for Chris Moyles.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,670 ✭✭✭MikeyTaylor

Starting from Monday Toby Tarrant is doing three weeks on Radio X breakfast. Dan Glasser (formerly of Heart FM) is, at least this week, doing drivetime. Irish presenter Michael Lavin (usually on weekends 6-8am) is doing the overnight show (1-4am) between Monday and Wednesday.

Elis James is co presenting The Kickabout this morning along with Gordon Smart. Johnny Vaughan is back on Monday though.

Danni Menzies in for Michael Lavin this weekend. Chris Moyles seems to be back next week. Caught a bit of Ross Buchanan on Saturday night, he wasn't bad.

Station is two years old on Thursday. Well, actually the station is 25 this year but it will be two years since it rebranded from Xfm. Ross Buchanan in for Dan O'Connell next week.

Elspeth Pierce is covering the 1-4am overnight show for most of this week. She is a stylist, model and presenter who has appeared on the Jewellery Channel and written for Metro newspaper. Quite attractive as well!

Chris (and Dominic Byrne) are on holidays from the breakfast show this week. Chris is badly missed imo!

Radio X is up to 1.6 million weekly listeners, and Chris Moyles is on 910,000.

What sort of numbers would XFM have been getting?

Ross Buchanan is in Australia for a MONTH backpacking so Elspeth Pierce has the honour of presenting his shows.

I think he is. He's been in a few movies including Get Him to the Greek and Rock of Ages.

Toby Tarrant is on breakfast on Good Friday, Dan Gasser on drivetime. Issy Panayis is doing early breakfast.

When I know who's on on Easter Monday I'll let you know. It's always interesting to see who's on overnights (1-4am) but sometimes it is just automated music. One of the presenters they had in the overnight slot a few times, Jay Lawrence has gone on to join Absolute Radio. I think Elspeth Pierce might get the 1-4am slot for Easter Monday, though.
