35k buy in 2017

It appears 35,000 people will buy in 2017 approx 50% being First time buyers.

Is this alarming or a major spike in people buying? Will 17,500 less renters make any difference?

Prior to the crash 110,000 mortgages in 2008 got issued at their peak,


21% to FTB compared to the 50% now, the 35k in 2017 looks rather small now

Rents are out of control so personally I don't think 17.5K people out of that market will make much difference.

i agree...there is a big need of new properties, new houses, new rent, etc

every where i look they are building, at least its starting

too little too late of coarse, although when I look at other major citys, rent seems to be out of control too

canada is kinda on pair with Ireland now
