Just wondering where does one go for these. Basically if you want to find out if you are ovulating, and if you are, how good your fertility is?
I assume you can skip the GP as they wont do these....so do you just go straight to somewhere like SIMS?

Yes skip GP and go straight to specialists as they will just redo the tests GP do so ur paying twice. Youll need an AMH blood test on first day of cycle and an ultrasound on day 7/8. A sperm analysis and possible other blood tests. These are usually done before first appointment with consultant.
I find SIMS are expensive as they are a private company. Somewhere like the Merrion Clinic is non profit or other clinics linked to hospitals. You might need a referral from GP, I don't really know. Check out their website for more info.

Saw on Twitter that SIMS are offering free fertility tests if you register this week. Think it's checking AMH levels

That's how I got my AMH levels tested. Sims were offering free fertility testing a couple of years ago.

You can get all tests done with GP.....clinics will take the results. I've just been through second failed ICSI with sims and have gotten vast majority of my testing done elsewhere as sims was ridiculously expensive for everything......never had any problems with results from other facilities.

Agree with Tups1980 that a GP clinic is worth considering however if you prefer to go down the specialist route www.repromed.ie are supposed to be pretty good for both male and female tests.

Most bloods that the GP won't do can be done in the phlebotomy dept in Holles street for about 20-70euro. Way cheaper than a fertility clinic or GP. Just be prepared to move forward with whatever information you get back from the test as some might only be valid for 3 months but most will a year.
