Defense reveals her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. "She may lose her father and mother." Molly weeps

Scraping the barrel for excuses at this stage.

Molly said now "Children will lose both parents. Jury did not look at all the evidence."

Great to see real sentences.....unlike in this country.

I'm guessing there will be an appeal though?

Molly said now "Children will lose both parents. Jury did not look at all the evidence." #CorbettTrial #JasonCorbett

They already have lost both their parents because of her.

Molly is an adult big difference loosing your parents as a child. Hopefully this will end her interference in the childrens young little lives and allow them to find a happy life with real family who truely love them and will continue to protect them.

My heart goes out to the Corbett and Fitzgerald (Mags) families.

^^^ what's the likelihood of the verdict being overturned at this stage?

So does the 20-25 years mean that she will only be eligible for parole after 20 with a maximum incarceration of 25?

Was just thinking if that was a trial in Ireland, they would get 8 yrs and be out in 5.

Just in case you're only coming in at the tail end of this - both guilty, both sentenced to 20 - 25 years, going to appeal.

So glad the jury didn't fall for their bullsh1t. Molly reminds me of Amy in Gone Girl, deluded and dangerous, an out and out sociopath. She even looks like her.

If convicted of murder in Ireland they would get life, the average length served by life prisoners released last year was 22 years.

I wouldnt be cheering yet. Sure the Jury did thier job. They could still c*ck it up with the appeal.

Absolutely. Delighted the father's cock & bull story has cut no ice with the jury.

FF td says she tried to contact the family after the murder. This to include trying to hire a plan to fly over the family area with a message
