    Hi Everyone,

    I am here looking for information as to where is the best places to look for work experience.
    Im looking to get into the the makeup and special effects department, for film and theater if anyone has any information or tips on the best way to get work experience.

    When I first qualified as a MUA, back in 09 before everyone was doing it, I got a lot of work experience with short films. TBH it was word of mouth and recommendations/connections that got me the experience so I'd suggest having a word with your tutor to see if they can recommend anything coming up. Try short film company's. In the meantime work on your portfolio because every second person is a MUA and you will want to be on the ball if a good opportunity pops up
