Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need to renew Esta if it says 'in transit' and I'm visiting this time instead?

I had to renew my Esta to for transit purposes last year, so it's still valid for another year. However, I'm now visiting the US for 6 weeks and there's no option to update the answer to the 'in transit' question online. I also listed 'no' under "are you employed" because I'm self-employed, and I'm worried now that might be the incorrect answer?

If anyone could clarify for me, I'd really appreciate it. Finding tons of conflicting info online!

    Thanks

Do up another ESTA, saves worry and it only costs $14. There won't be any red flag against you, if you had incorrectly typed your DOB on the ESTA application for example, the officially approved solution is to just go back in and apply for a new one. Your current ESTA will be revoked when you apply for a new one under the same passport number.

I would do that especially on account of the employment question.

From the ESTA FAQ, applies to any data field that you cannot change after the ESTA is approved.....

How can I correct a mistake regarding Passport Issuance Date or Passport Expiration Date after completing my application?

An applicant can update the Passport Issuance Date or Passport Expiration Date as long as the application has not been paid for. If an applicant enters the wrong Passport Issuance Date or Passport Expiration Date after having paid for the ESTA application, the traveler will need to re-apply for a new travel authorization. The associated fee will be charged for each new application submitted. The previous application will be canceled.
