What alarm system do you recommend?

My bedroom roof caved in yesterday so I'm currently sleeping on the sofa downstairs.

I was awoken around 3am by footsteps outside. I then heard faint scratching on the front door.

Startled, I grabbed my Swiss Army knife and went into the hallway. The man shone a torch through the glass. He then smashed the porch window and tried to open the door, it was locked.

I shouted, and he tried to kick in the door but I ran at him and he walked away calmly.

I then saw a new-looking white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter panel van parked outside, the man getting into it and driving slowly away.

About 15 minutes later, the van parked on the road and three men walked past, one with a balaclava on and all with black gloves.

    I captured this on CCTV.

A neighbour spotted the same van outside me house at midday today.

The thing is, my road is very isolated, in a secluded part of the country.

3 reasons to be on the road:

    1. visiting me
    2. lost
    3. local farmer tending stock

These guys were none of these.

I have a clip of the CCTV down below to prove that this isn't trolling.

What alarm systems would you reccomend? I don't have one at the moment, the previous owners disabled it. What is a cheap system that you could tell me?

What do you think about these men, could they return and are they dangerous?

The one you have is fine seeing as it withstood the torrent of water

What do you mean? It's CCTV, it's an advice on alarms I want.

Some helpful advice would honestly be appreciated.

What do you think of the individuals? Could they be dangerous? Could they come back, and how can I prepare for that?

Did you call the police? They are the only ones who can assist. Show them the footage.
