What an absolute joke The owner maintains he has to sell lots of pints etc... Hate this rubbish, you are in temple bar, thousands walking by your door every day of the week €8 is an astronomical rip off and it's a horrible image to give to visitors to our country that we are just too expensive…

In Dusseldorf you can pay 4.50 for a 400ml Glass of Beer to drink on street outside the bar.

or go to the Kiosk and buy a 500ml Bottle of Tyscie, Budvar, Becks, Staropramen for 1.20-1.50 and drink on the street outside the bar.

Only time I'd drink in a bar during the summer is if there is no Kiosk around.

Luckily JD Wetherspoons are opening a number of pubs in Dublin City Centre over the next few months so this should seriously increase the competition for the rip-off pubs in the city centre

The local publicans actually tried to object to the openings on the basis that the new pubs would be cheaper than them
