Not Belarus or Slovakia but it is in Eastern Europe.

    Here's another angle.

Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.

That one took some finding, ended up giving myself a great education on Russian orthodox architecture though! :D

Sin é. Didn’t realise it was so easy to get, but I suppose there are only so many arches in Europe.

It had an Italian feel to it and once I filtered out the newer stuff I got lucky.
"Italy ancient arch -Constantine -Peace -Sempione -colosseum"

Here are a few more arches for your heads to get stuck into.

    Another angle.
It's a famous bridge, I think they wrote some book or other about it.

Not Avignon, and not in France.
(But that's a lovely bridge too)

The bridge is in Visegrad, Bosnia & Herzegovina. It is known as the Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge and is the subject of "The Bridge on the Drina" as detailed here:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bridge_on_the_Drina

(I got this by googling books and bridges, had not heard of the book before today)

    Well done.
My suggestion for you all to get your "heads stuck into it" was a reference to the Turkish tradition of sticking heads on the bridge (kapia).
    Your go.

I noticed after posting that it is not part of the road system now, there's another bridge about a mile north (behind the perspective of the first of the two pictures shown) that takes traffic across the Drina. Before I thought of googling the two words I had been looking at hilly parts of the Danube and then the Inn thinking it was a fairly big river but also in Croatia because of the limestone. But I was always too far north in that search.

This one might go pretty quickly. I was there in 1972 and I don't remember the building so maybe it looks different from another side. I'll save you some time, it is in Europe.
