    Nope.

Originally I was doing to post it with "here's one to sink your teeth into." which is a bit of a vague clue to the overall location, and possibly something in the picture, but don't quote me on that.

Does it have anything to do with the Fourth Earl of Sandwich? (for whom the sandwich is named)

Nope. Would it help if I said the sea was down there below the grassy bit.

Yep. The "sink your teeth" clue was about Bram Stoker and Dracula's link to Whitby. Also pictured is a giant arch made from whale bone.

That sign is out of kilter. It suggests that Seoul is east of Tokyo. I'd say some of our lads were at it after a long night on the town.

Someone tell me if I've got that wrong - i.e. it's not identifiable enough and I'll try another one

Was there an article about this one recently somewhere?

Some obsolete street racing circuit or somewhere that's in every day use.

    Sao Paulo?

    Reading thread rules..

    OP doesn't confirm/deny the country/continent for the first 20 guesses or 24 hours;

Does this mean I am to keep schtumm for a while yet?

You can confirm or deny a specific place. So if it's not Sao Paulo you can say it's not, but if someone guessed Brasil you wouldn't confirm or deny it.

Ok - it's not Sao Paulo then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,122 ✭✭✭✭josip

But because the OP asked the question in the first place, it's reasonable to assume it's Brasil :D

That was my first thought too, but then I remembered the Numberphile channel on YouTube sent me off on a Wikipedia adventure.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckminster_Fuller

And that's how I know that that's a (shallow) geodesic dome in the background.

Fooked if I can find anything even vaguely close via the Google machine <rubs sore eyes and stamps feet/>.
