Excellent "Guess The Location...," BRB :)

The blue "L-Plate" in the second picture has me stymied, BRB. Shoo in for Switzerland or Belgium or, at a stretch, Spain.

Anyway, frustration levels are rising, so it's time for a break.

    Belgium
    Bulgaria
    France
    Germany
    Holland
    Macedonia

    Poland (Gdansk)*
    Romania (Bucharest)*
    Spain
    Switzerland
    Turkey

    Ukraine (Kiev)*

*Only the city confirmed by BRB as incorrect.

Thanks 3 sleeps. It's not Switzerland, Belgium or Spain.
I didn't think it was that hard!

Think it's time for a hint. There's a famous landmark to the right of the building in the first picture.

    Hope this helps.

I think the blue L plate is more of a commercial symbol and not an official one.

With L driving license instructor on 2nd picture looks like Poland.

    Maybe Wroclaw ?

    Son of a... :)

Both photos are taken from the Dębnicki Bridge in Kraków over the Vistula River. The landmark to the right of the building in the first photo is Wawel Royal Castle.

The learner-plate in the second photo was a red blue herring based off this information. (Or possibly not given Tom's input above ^^^)

BRB, feel free to go again; I'm as useless as a chocolate teapot when it comes to setting these yokes :(

I don't think there's a rule against it, Ads, despite the mention of Streetview in the OP. There have definitely been original photos posted in this thread.

Its not my own photo, its from google streetview and cropped.

I don't think you were being accused - I think Ads just wanted to know for their own turn!

I think I'm going to be dreaming of copper domes tonight. Can't find one that looks like that.

as a matter of interest can you use photos from google streetview?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,565 ✭✭✭K.Flyer

Some have been used before over the years, but I would think that they need to be less vauge if street view is not available in the country.
