Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Haha it’s grand! Yeah but your response is exactly right! They would have more to edit as well, being that the have to edit daily activity yet she would be just sitting in front of a camera no?

I don’t know if anyone follows Jamie Genevieve on YT, but she literally posted the day she bought the Fenty makeup like with a makeup update at the end of the day!

I love Jamie and that girl works and manages to do all that

If you google "Joanne Larby Suzanne Jackson" and click on images, a press pic from Suzannes website launch party in 2011 comes up. The difference in their appearance, for both of them, is absolutely astounding. They don't even look like the same people.

Wow that picture is crazy they really do look like different people!

Due looks like she'd reef the head off you outside a nightclub

LOL what is Joanne doing with her arm. She's so awkward in photos, I feel bad for her cos she seems to still have esteem issues.
I think Sue looks ok there, she looks like her early obsession Michelle Keegan. She's gone more Joan Rivers now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

There's a pic of joannne wearing a multi colour flowery dress and boots, a bit larger than she is now, shortish hair and she's stunning. Nicest pic I've ever seen of her

Sue's whole face is completely different since those early photos she must have had some amount of work done it's mad

  • Registered Users Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

Ive no issue with them having work done, just when they lie about it and claim it's make up:blink:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,039 ✭✭✭✭retro:electro

Joanne looked really sweet. Much better then, than now, imo.

Check out Pippa's snaps they are over in the factory where the Poco jeans are made showing a bit of the behind the scenes! Good to see someone showing some of the process....

Can we expect the same for the other blogger products ;)

Wow the difference!!! I actually think it's sad the change in them both, but I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery. I always think if you have kids and they get your nose say but you've had a nose job then it tells them theirs isn't good enough either.

I await Sue's tour of the factory her products are made "from scratch" with baited breath......

I've only seen snippets on Instagram as I'm not on Snapchat but where is the factory?? Thanks.

Definitely nice to see behind the scenes snaps of Pippas trip. Pity a few others who sware their products aren't white label would do the same...

The factory is in Mauritius AFAIK.

Sue's reaction to her palette's bad reviews remind of when Anastasia Beverly Hills released Subculture and it was slated by most of the top bloggers on youtube. And we're talking about people with millions of subscribers! ABH told them they needed to perfect their skills more and then the palette would work for them. They got a lot of backlash from fans for not accepting that the palette was subpar and blaming the MUAs skills. I don't think the subculture sales have done well since.

I don't follow Sue anymore, just pop in and out of her updates now and again, before her wedding she put up a picture on instargram, had to message my friend (who's a big sue fan) asking if it was her?!....she said yeah of course, why?...I replied back "Fecking hell, she's after getting some load of work done, I didn't even recognise her"....and my friend barked back that "she didn't have work done, thats how she always looked and she probably looked better because she's looking after her skin on the run up to the wedding"

It was like she brainwashed Sue minion...defend everything about Sue

It's mad it's been such a gradual process of getting things done that it's only when you look back at old pics you see how much she has changed I can't even put my finger on all that's changed exactly.... her teeth obviously and lips? But she must have had work on cheeks and eyes her whole face looks different and it's not down to make up because she often goes make up free on snapchat

  • Registered Users Posts: 436 ✭✭wendydoll

I thought it was her jawline and chin had been altered in the photo, say it was something like the jaw plastic surgery katherine ryan got done that tv show "how did you get so rich"

  • Registered Users Posts: 384 ✭✭blairbear

She has had multiple injectables. Her lips are very obviously done. They are poorly proportioned now. The 40:60 ratio that any good cosmetic surgeon maintains (top to bottom lip) has been lost. Of course, she would be going to a beauty therapist as opposed to a highly trained plastic surgeon. The beauticians are throwing freebies at her. She has fillers in her cheeks too. Hence the puffy appearance. Botox rarely gives an odd appearance to the face. Being a bit immobile doesn't translate to photos; fillers are what makes a person look odd. They can be fantastic when done by somebody skilled who knows when to say "no, enough!"

I think people have lost sight of what a thin face looks like!! I have never seen a pillow-faced person look any younger.

  • Registered Users Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

hahaha oh my god how can people not see it? Her lips the week leading up to the wedding were SO obvious. You could see it clearly when she was talking, it was affecting her speech.
Sue disappears from SM for a few days every now and then and that's when she's getting her touch ups done.

  • Registered Users Posts: 436 ✭✭wendydoll

Why would you leave someone that did a weekend course or something like that alter your face! God the horror.

I'm considering botox and I'm looking at peter prendergast and I've even scared and he's a proper specialist.

Also, anyone that thinks her boobs just stay like that in swimsuits and low cut, backless tops with no help, needs a slap. Hers are bigger and more upfront despite her being slimmer and older than she used to be.

Seriously, any time she goes away online for a day or two, then appears back saying she was too busy to snap, she's been getting stuff done, her sister usually is around the same time but at least she admits it. They must get a 2 for 1 deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 856 ✭✭✭idunno78

I doubt she gets freebies for it I'd imagine she pays! Why would a salon give that much away and get nothing out of it! She just ignores the questions when asked! Tho I do remember she did say her lips were down to lipliner! At the start they were fab and whoever did them I would go to (don't have the balls to get. Em done) but now they are to much done! Not natural looking anymore! But that's the only time I've seen her lie!

  • Registered Users Posts: 398 ✭✭SpillingTheTea

I’m not afraid to admit I get Botox and my lips done, but it’s so subtle not even my family recognised at first. I think there’s a fine line between enhancing what you already have and complete reconstruction :D

I noticed today MUF mentioned on snap that she is giving discounts to people who buyer her lip yokes at the Beauty Show, they will be half price. I really get the impression they aren't selling, as she snaps them almost once a day.... Has anyone you guys know bought them? I think they are extremely tacky, and while I wouldn't fancy any products that any others have released, these would be the last thing I'd choose to buy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 384 ✭✭blairbear

I don't know anyone who has bought them. My friends would be more into Charlotte Tilbury and Mac though! And the normal ranges like Rimmel etc. I really though only diehard fans who are hoping for a shout out in her snaps buy them.

Is she going to be at the beauty show? She really should be if she's selling a range there!

Nobody I know who's interested in makeup would touch them. Sure most of the people who've snapped her saying they've bought it (and we see this because muf puts it up on her snap story, lol) have been schoolgirls, as far as I can tell.

In saying that, I love the look of the really dark vampy one she has, but because she only sells them in threes, there's no way I'd buy it, I'm sure kat von d has a similar shade

I haven't seen her lip products anywhere. The chemist near me sells all the blogger stuff and I've never seen Joanne's on the shelves.

  • Registered Users Posts: 218 ✭✭gossipgirl10

I'd be the same as others wouldn't be interested in buying any set of glosses would prefer to buy single ones. I know years ago I got a Mac Christmas edition set of glosses and don't think I wore 3 out of the 4 of them I'd say it's rare someone would like all of them

Is Pippa moving to a different manufacturer for the jeans? Could have sworn she said they were made in Italy before. Maybe the quality will improve, if so.
Really liked her behind the scenes snaps.

I looked at them but from the (very) few review they seemed patchy and drying, I already have both meet matte hughes sets by the balm and I picked up a gloss thing to go over them so they can be either matte or gloss.
There's pretty much every shade that she sells in there plus loads more!

Her product "Nina Luxe Pearl Extra Long Hair Vine" which is €88 is all over Ali Express for 9 dollars :(

It's so cringy, she had a big launch party at House and has had slots on Xpose. I'd say none of her customers have a clue!

Who is this blogger? Is there consumer laws against reselling and <removed> rather than buying wholesale ?

Here is her Farrah Gold Leaf Headpiece that is on her site for €95 which she bought for less than €5. And when she launched she was actually selling it for €145 because a friend of mine sent me a photo of it and I still have it on my phone. She must have thought that 29 x the cost price was a bit excessive so dropped it down to 19 x the price she paid to be sound.

And the best part of all this... she was named by Sunday Independent in their 30 under 30 at the weekend because of her business.

That particular headpiece was also on the front page of the weekender magazine a few weeks back where Bairbre Power was choosing her favourite Irish brands for autumn winter. How are these people promoting her when she is buying cheap tat from China and selling it at a ridiculous mark up. It is an absolute insult to Irish designers who are trying to make their living from what they do how can they compete with that when she is on expose and TV3 all the time due to her presenting job.

Feck sake that is just maddening. A part of me feels like the fools who buy this deserve nothing more but then I think of someone like my mam who could easily see this on Ireland am or something and not have a clue and order it.

The way the products are photographed on her site on beautiful models with lovely hair and makeup etc makes them look nice but I can only imagine if you spent €145 on something special for your wedding day and when it arrives it looks like the quality of something you would pick up in Penneys how disheartening would that be!

Has anyone commented on her social media to ask her about whether or not she made them? Would love to know if she blocks people who ask or if she replies what does she say?

Another nice little feature on the desktop version of aliexpress is that if you look at the transaction history it shows all the previous orders of that product along with a little flag to show where the buyer was from and their initials. In my link i posted up above you can see an Irish flag and C***a D. so there is no doubt that she has ordered them from there.
