The low bridge in Mulhuddart

I live close to the bridge under the M3 in Mulhuddart and today, yet again a truck crashed into it.
I've lived here for over 20 years and there have been several crashes per year during that time but this one today is the third in as many months.
I always feel so sorry for the drivers.
Surely there should be better warnings on the bridge.

You can have all the warnings in the world and it'll still happen.

For example take the rail bridge on Amiens Street, regularly gets hit by trucks, this causes the train line to temporarily close down while the structural engineers take a look. As a train commuter it's a huge pain. It happened twice in one day a couple of weeks ago. I'd consider it to be pretty well marked out.

It's quite well sign posted, no? They have the height before the bridge, if you can't clear it then you need to turn around and find a different route. All trucks/high vans that I've ever been in have a plate on the inside with their clearance height on them so it's really a no brainer.

For the second time in so many months , yesterday an ambulance coming from mulhuddart had to reverse and turn back around at the bridge and take another route.

Ironically the house they were attending were literally 30 seconds at the other side of the bridge
