    I would like to buy a domain, but when i performed a eurid whois search on it, it appears as
    Status Quarantine on Hold ?
    When i click on the question mark icon, a message box pops up
    Status: Quarantine On Hold

    This name is currently unavailable because it is quarantined. A domain name holder may decide to give up a name and delete its registration. When that happens, the domain name is put into a 40-day quarantine as a safety measure. This domain name has been registered and is on hold. It is active but may not be transferred pending the outcome of legal activity.

    Availability date 25 Mar 2016
    Expiry date 15 Feb 2016
    Last update 22 Mar 2016

    Is there any way to release this domain and purchase it?

    If it's suspended due a pending legal action, then no you can't get it released.

    If you want to email me (michele@blacknight.com) the domain details I can see if one of my contacts at the registry can shed more light on the matter.
