    Hi,
Just inquiring on the procedure to open up a current or savings account for my wife. I currently have a current account with Bank of Ireland.
My wife just moved to Ireland and shes currently living with me. She has no proof of address under her name as everything is on my name. I'm wondering if i want to open up an account for her what is the process ?

    Many Thanks.

    Hi sehem09,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here.

I can confirm that your wife would need both photo ID (either passport or drivers licence) and a proof of address in her own name to open an account with Bank of Ireland.
If you both have this documentation you can open a joint account online here.

    Thanks again,
    Darren.
