Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes. Solid old-school crime-action-thriller of the type common in the 80s/90s

second this. I remember seeing it in the cinema thinking how much I missed these well done crime-action-thriller from the 90's.

Score, acting, plot, cinematography is all very well done.

It’s really annoying me that I can’t watch fleabag season 2 on it. Why is it even showing up if it’s unavailable? It’s teasing me. Any indication as to when it might be available?

Is anyone watching Making The Cut? It’s like Project Runway the fashion show.

Episodes have dropped weekly and today is the finale. €1 million prize which is huge for a tv show.

I’ve enjoyed it and I like Heidi and Tim.

The show makes me want to be creative.

Anyone else have issues when trying to buy or rent something? Whether it's on the app or browser, when I click rent and then choose the card it just keeps circling me back to the start point. On UK prime using revolut.

Stumbled upon Copycat on Uk one tonight. Can’t believe it was 1996 when it came out.

A great suspense serial killer movie, they don’t make ones like this anymore.

The search function on Amazon Prime is dreadful. Even when you type the full name of tv show or movie, you have to scroll through all the other stuff they bring up to find what you wanted to search.

I have UK prime and a revolut card but it won't let me rent anything.
I haven't bothered trying to sort it though.

I think it's because the revolut card is seen as Irish. If you were able to put a UK address it might sort it but I'm not 100% sure.

It's like Amazon just aren't really bothered to do anything about the interface. Amazon Prime Video is still treated like an afterthought bonus you get for subscribing to Prime, even after the insane amount of money they are pumping into productions and acquisitions.

You still can't add a tv show to your watchlist (instead having to add each "season" individually), the search function is diabolical and they still have awful problems when it comes to subtitles on certain shows/movies (even ones made by Amazon themselves).
The most frustrating thing is their lack of profiles within the app, even though practically every other major streaming service has this feature. And the ads for Amazon shows that play before titles is beyond infuriating.

Netflix has led the way, but even newcomers like Apple TV+ and Disney+ are already miles ahead of Amazon in terms of design.

I still enjoy Amazon for its content (specifically it's tv content) and the fact that it's one price tier includes UHD (unlike Netflix), just wish they showed a little more concern for useability.

The address you enter on prime for the Revolut card has to be a UK one. You don't change anything with Revolut themselves. Just the address for Revolut on Prime digital purchase

It's bizarre. Even more bizarre given they've a massive IT division, not just obviously on their own website but with AWS as well. There's surely more than enough skilled people in that pool to design a better interface and layout that actually lets you organise and finds shows.

I've never seen any ads. They are rolling out profiles at the moment, seems to be taking an age though.

Actually, you are right, I think I read something ages ago about profiles becoming a thing.

And I get ads for other Amazon shows on front of tv shows I watch on Amazon constantly. Whenever I watched The Expanse or Vikings or Outlander, there is an ad at the start for The Grand Tour or Bosch that you cannot skip. I can't stand Jeremy Clarkson so it's annoying to have to listen to him every time and I've yet to start watching Bosch so it's also annoying to see ads (spoilers) for the shows latest season.

I got it to work and get the UK content even with my Eir subscription. Here’s what I did

Set my default delivery address to UK (parcel motel etc).
Set my default payment to Revolut card.
Ensure my billing address for Revolut matches the default delivery address I used above. e.g. UK address
In your account settings go to ‘Manage content and devices’ then to preferences and set country/ region to UK
Contact amazon through chat and ask to have your Location and video content territory set to UK

Reboot your devices (especially if you are using a Firestick)

Hopefully that will work for ya

Is it anything to do with the update where you can now purchase directly in the prime video app? on iOS anyway.

    What's the benefit of profiles?

I presume profiles like Netflix or Disney so people in the household can have their own section, watched and watchlist etc

If two people watch the same show, the viewing history can be all over the place and you might forget where you are in the series.

That said I think Prime is terrible for this anyway, it offen thinks I’m episodes behind where I am.

Prime profiles will be here in the next few weeks I believe

    What's the benefit of profiles?

Like the guys says, allows different people to set themselves up and watch their own things. Even if you're watching the same show, but at a different pace, episodes won't be shown as viewed if the other person already watched it. You can have individual watch lists too. And if you have kids you don't want them seeing a lot of the stuff that pops up on their landing page.

The billing address is on Amazon not revolut so it doesn't matter. You can have Ireland as your address in the Revolut app and parcel motel address as your billing address against the card on Amazon.

I’ve been watching Vikings season 4 part 1 on Prime but it is now unavailable (sling with seasons 1 to 3).

The Amazon support agent said the licence expired and reckons it will be back at some stage.

Does anyone know if that might be true or how long it might take?
Actually, you are right, I think I read something ages ago about profiles becoming a thing.

On AppleTV you can skip (kind of)

When an ad starts I press menu on the remote and then start the episode again without the ad.

    In the US or everywhere?

I happen to ask support about it last week and he said the usual “thanks for the feedback”, etc. but no mention it was coming at all let alone soon.

They also need to improve clearing history.

It will be on Sky Atlantic here. Prime Video in North America and Spain have it available already and Sky in Germany and Italy are already showing it. According to Wikipedia HBO have released it in all the European countries they're in.

I don't know why Sky are so slow to show it here. It is really good.

Unless it's the big hitters like Westworld and such, Sky seem to be delaying showing a lot of stuff lately, often waiting till the season has fully aired elsewhere, then dropping the entire season in one go. Maybe they think, in the time of Netflix, that's how people prefer to consume their content now? I'd still prefer a weekly release myself (more breathing space between episodes and less pressure to watch it altogether!).

But maybe it's delayed for a different reason entirely...

Not to go too off topic here, but with all that's going on now in the world, I thought that everyone would start going back to a weekly release schedules, just to ration out the shows they've already got finished. Even though Netflix (king of dumping seasons in one go) has said it has plenty of new content to last into next year, the halt in production is eventually going to hit all services.

Watched Nothing but the Truth this evening (Amazon IE). Wow how did I miss this one? Excellent movie. Described as a thriller but it's more of a political drama that packs a punch. So if you like that kind of thing then I would urge you to check it out. Good cast (Kate Beckinsale, Alan Alda, Matt Dillon, Vera Farmiga) and very topical.

Using app on android box, my search function doesn't actually work no more recently I click the search bar an an error message comes up and I'm immediately redirected to the homepage. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix? I've naturally goggled and the top solutions given such as clearing cookies etc and reinstalling were all tried but the issue remains...

I just use the regular site externally to add stuff to watch and they are easily accessible then so it's not the end of the world, but still.

What's the story with renting videos. Tried to rent a movie and won't let me. Customer service said not available in this region. App and site give no indication that Ireland is separate to Uk and doesn't actually say I can't rent it. Just goes into an endless circle.of.asking.me for a payment method. Do any rentals work?

Itll be down to your billing details. They might be looking for a uk payment card. I've a virtual revolut card setup as uk, but dont rent content.

Also the main difference is the way things are integrated on the firestick and amazon site. When on browser as an roi user you've no integration with the fire stick and need to go to a seperate website. But it's the same android app regardless.

I find the best way to find movies on Amazon is to search via the browser. You can filter by decade, genre etc and can find some real gems. I just watched Cube from 1997 which i'd never seen before and it was really great.
