it says top up by 80 not 70 pounds to recieve the 5 pounds

Thanks OP. Mine is top up by £70 to get an extra £5, so it must vary - maybe depends on previous spend?

Maybe it makes a difference in top up if amazon directly contacts you about this offer,they didn't contact me so my top up is higher to avail of this offer

Didn't contact me either and I qualified for the 5/70 offer. Seems to be a bit hit and miss for people - luck of the draw.

I tried it and it didn't offer me the discount.

Afterwards I decided to change my password since I was on the site anyway and hadn't changed my password in ages.
Went back in and the offer was there.
Result.
