looking forward to it, always a great event!

Can I just check with ye, is there parking in a specific area? (just checking whether to head straight over to Nass town centre and find a spot there, or if we should head to a car park/area?). I'll be cutting it fine on Sunday morning so need to sort of 'make a bee line' as it were ;)

    well that was fairly lively!!

Great event as always - thanks to everyone in Naas CC for all their efforts, you did yourselves proud.

The amount of moto marshals was just fantastic - they really did a superb job the whole way round, and they really knew their stuff. I said thanks after the BBQ to a few of them, really nice guys.
Pace was so high I didn't get to say thanks to the marshals on a lot of the junctions as we flew through, except for when I was shelled out the back of a couple of groups and was back down to my sluggish pace :o. anyway, great marshaling!

Great event! Many thanks to Naas CC & all involved. Special mention to the fleet of moto marshals, they were amazing! :D

Enjoyed today's event. I agree the moto marshals did a great job. Really good, enthusiastic atmosphere as far as I could see.

I really like this event because it typically involves a mix of good racing cyclists as well as a large group of leisure/touring cyclists; the organising club has a long tradition of running good events in both spheres; a flat fast sportive is rare enough in the calendar so therefore it is an excellent way of catering for both types. Not forgetting the short sharp climbs in the second half.

It's important remember that not every cyclist wants to flog themselves on back roads and big climbs or ride in big bunches ditch-to-ditch on open roads.

So well done to Marie Keating Foundation and Naas CC

Bloody amazing day alright. I was in a trio coming through Kildare at maximum velocity and we felt like pro tour riders with bike marshals clearing a path for us. And fair fcuks to the pace-setters -
I was raging I forgot my Garmin. Rolled out at ten and back in Naas for 1, including a lazy coffee stop:eek:

Really enjoyed yesterday it all kicked off pretty soon as it usually does . Rode in Martins group for a while and then blemmed off out of that group solo until Water stop.
5 mins refuel and away again, was on my own for a good while picking off riders as you do then a race group came thundering by, ah here we go again speed shoots up, managed to hang on to them until The Wall (I had to stop and pose for a few pics of course) so let them ride on and then soloed back to Naas Court Hotel for my big juicy burger and a quick natter with some other finishers
The Naas CC Martin Earley Tour of Kildare event has always been a favorite of mine and yesterday didn't disappoint. Congratulations Naas Cycling Club top marks again for the 2017 edition. As we all know it takes many people to pull off a gig like yesterday committees volunteers sponsors road markers burger flippers etc etc . . But a massive part of anything like this is the marshling the work they did out on the roads yesterday was outstanding the ladies with the big arrows the folk with the flags and in particular the motos amazing job, I don't think I had to stop at a junction all day . . Well Done Guys Thank You for getting us all home safe . .
    See you next Year.

Cycling Ireland take note a contender for leisure event of the year 2017 no doubt.

Many thanks for your kind comments - much appreciated by everyone involved.
Wonderful to get support from our Motto Marshall's yesterday and thanks again to each biker.
