    Settled on the below:

    Foster/Elliot

    Jones/Davies/Bertrand - Naughton/Long

    Sanchez/Salah/Pogba/Brady - Carroll

    Kane/Firmino/Hernandez

The big dilemma for me really came down to Sanchez + Firmino or Alli + Lukaku.

Yep, Sanchez is a HUGE risk. He may not even start tomorrow FFS. I know I really shouldn't be going this route this early into the game, especially at the expense of Lukaku who will kill me whenever he does anything at an ownership rate of almost 60%, but **** it - I've played the game a bit too cautious in recent times, ended up with lots of regrets and if I'm going down, it'll at least be on my own terms.

I'm happy I played my wildcard anyway. I'd have lost a total of £0.4m on De Bruyne and Ward-Prowse alone (as both should drop for the second time tonight), and there were numerous other players who will only last a week or two more (Willian, Stephens) or who weren't performing as well as hoped (Gabbiadini) that I needed to shift out.

    Good luck all wildcarders. :)

    Forester/Elliot
    Lowe Mee Jones /Rangel Rosenoir
    Sigurdsson Silva Ali Mkhitaryan /Woodburn
    Morata Lukaku Firmino

    Thoughts?

Nice team, I've gone similar in the forward line but not as risky in defence.
    Foster/Elliot
    Cedric/Jones/Davies/Yedlin or Mee/ Rosenoir
    Eriksen/Mane/ Pogba/Brady/Carroll,
    Morata Lukaku Firmino

Am I mad to be going with Utd x 2 and Saints x2 for by 3 Def & goalie, with bench of Hud,BHA,& Newc

Not at all if your playing 4 at the back. Who's the only United attacker?

Downgraded Elliot to Lossi and upgraded Yedlin for Rangel and Woodburn to Carroll.
Have .2 in the bank aswell.

Downgrade Sig and spend on the D.
Looks good to my eye except for Woody.
Liverpool spots should be their cheapest defenders not a MF.

    Currently looking at...
    Foster/Elliott
    Alonso/Jones/Yedlin/Mee/(fodder)
    Mane/Pogba/Eriksen/Richarlison/(fodder)
    Jesus/Lukaku/Chicarito

Went with Ward instead of Mee in the end, just to avoid an impending drop really.

Took my eye off the ball a bit last week, ended up with this, any thoughts appreciated?

    DDG-Eliott

    Alonso-Davies-Cedric-Naughton-Rosenior

    Mane-Pogba-Atsu-RLC-Carroll

    Lukaku-Kane-Firmino

Not happy with Double Pool and Utd attack
Had been toying with Morata in for Firmino (few other changes needed)
and have Silva in for Pogba lined up for next week
Davies will make way as soon as he loses his place,
    Atsu is a punt

Noone in my private league has Morata and differential points would be handy
I might just leave it as is, Chelsea have a few tricky games and I already have Alonso.

Was looking at playing 433 but think my midfield is a bit light

    Any thoughts?

    Foster Elliot
    Davies Soares Alonso Jones Naughton
    Salah Eriksen Richarlison Mooy Carroll
    Morata Lukaku Chicarito

    1.2 ITB

    Was thinking
    A Richarlison to Ramsey
    B Lukaku to Kane
    C Eriksen/Richarlison to Sanchez/Fodder

Switched Eriksen to Alli due to CL and suspension

All set to go after wildcard. More than one risk taken but I think this team has a very high points ceiling.

    Foster/ Elliot
Cedric - mee- jones - yedlin- long
Sanchez- salah- mkhi- Brady - Carroll
    Morata- Kane - chicarito

Sanchez is obviously a massive risk but I think now transfer window is over he'll be ready to play, plus next 4 home fixtures he is a captaincy choice, and we all know what he can do. The downside of getting him in is no lukaku but I fancy mkhi to keep up his form. Morata has looked v sharp and is always an easy transfer out. Chicarito is best option at his price range and Kane is a no brainer imo.

Anyway, few gambles but it's a team I really like the look of

    Ended up settling on:
    Krul (Elliot)
    Jones Kolasinac Cedric Naughton (TAA)
    Mane Alli Pogba (Carroll, King)
    Lukaku (c) Lacazette Firmino

Exactly enough in the bank to do Lukaku to Kane next week if I still feel that is the correct shout.

The risks are obvious. The players I went heavy in on that I needed to take risks to facilitate are also obvious.

    Gents,

    Kane and Silva

    or

    Jesus and Alli?

    Absolute head wreck.

Went Kane and Silva. Obviously. Ffs

    Before wildcard - had KDB
    After wildcard - had Mane

    Sounds about right

Pretty sure ill be wildcarding between gw 5 and 6. The benefits as I see them are 1 Chelsea/arsenal/evertons fixtures take an upturn 2 The effects of the transfer window have become more clear 3 Will get to see the effects european football has on the squads and who is prone to rotation 4 Gw 5 starts on a friday so slights chance of getting a couple of.2 rises

I'm beginning to figure out what players I'm going to want in a wildcard.

Many of them have scored points so far today though :o

Have this at the moment, any thoughts/suggestions on potential improvments? Defence maybe a bit weak.
    De Gea/Elliott
    Lascelles Femenia Mee Hegazi Schindler

Pogba Salah Eriksen Choupo Moting  Carroll

    Kane Lukaku Wood

I think Femenia is injured, he was taken off early against Southampton and brought to hospital.

Mee is near a price drop, so I'd take him out for now and then buy him back at 4.4, if he ends up dropping.

Hegazi's place is under threat now, with other players returning and after a couple of poor performances

Do you need a Newcastle double up with Lascelles/Elliot, but I suppose you'll never be playing Elliot when you own DDG.

I'd be wary about double Spurs and United attackers while having no Chelsea or City cover in the team.

Going to play 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 where possible. Front 3 is golden, Pogba and KDB give wiggle room for future changes in midfield with Chapo/Carroll and Mooy all playing.

I think I'm a couple of weeks away from a WC but at present it would be this. No City or Arsenal but can't have it all.

    Elliot (Krul)
    Jones, Alonso, Bavies (Mee, TAA)
    Eriksen, Pogba, Mkhi, Salah (Cork)
    Kane, Vardy (Hemed)

Stronge outfield 9 and 1 to play from the rest.

Doucoure of Watford, looks a good value option at this stage.
Anyone looked further into his profile? Really struggling on a wildcard team and looks like I'll be having him and Moot as starters.

Using wildcard to bring in city cover.

    Foster (Elliot)
    Jones Davies Simpson Mee (Hegazi)
    Pogba Salah Chupo-Moting (Brady Carroll)
    Jesus Kane Lukaku

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,820 ✭✭✭✭dahat

    Elliot / Krul

    Kolansic Jones Cedric Memba Bavies

    Pogba Ali Mooy Carroll Doucoure

    Firmino Kane Lukaku

I'm really tempted to dump Pogba for KDB or Silva to give myself City cover but I'm.not so sure.

I like this pick. I can't find major fault really.

I'd personally pick Eriksen over KDB, not sure about Kolasianic, i'd go with Azpi or Alonso if funds allow it
