I’m going Lascelles & Rosenior rather than Mbemba & Lowe. It’s marginal.

For some reason I’m having a look at Danny Simpson. My defense is currently Foster, Elliott
    Kolasinac, Jones, Davies, Naughton, XXX

Looking at either Ward or Simpson (or both if I change Foster to Fabianski) as, after today, Leicester’s fixtures improve.

Madness to swap out DDG for Fabianski, bank the 1m and go with no United defensive cover? Fixtures look a bit spicy after GW8. Could swap Naughton for Jones but don’t see the point if only netting 0.4m.

    Back line is
    Elliot DDG (or Fab)
    Kola Bavies Naughton Lascelles Rosenior

Are you thinking of 4 at the back with Naughton and Simpson rotating?

It’s a bit of 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 really as I have Ritchie and Brady in midfield. I want two playing defenders, one to cover if I need to leave out a midfielder, and one to cover for Jones when he gets injured :)

In that case I wouldn’t spend 4.5 on a 5th defender. Pick up Mbemba or Rosenior. They’ll rarely play and you have an extra 0.5 to use elsewhere.

Anyone suggest a better 4.5 than Lowe?
I reckon brighton will be better defensively than huddersfield. Dunk or suttner 4.4 now. Simpson is another good one.

Dunk is 4.5. I went for Suttner.

Someone tell me i am not completely mad playing the the FOUR wingbacks. That leaves me with:

    Foster Elliott
Walker - Kola - Bavies - Alonso (Mbemba)
Cork - Mkhi - Dilva (RLC - Carroll)
    Kun - Kane - Vardy

I like it, though I'd fancy Mendy over Walker if I was going down that road.

My team is nearly identical actually - I went with Jones/Ritchie over Walker/Cork.

Yes, but your name isn't Ritchiegunner so you can get away with it :pac:

Im going 523 which in reality is 163 given all the defenders are wingbacks or playing in midfield. Risky strategy but no mids under 7m are appealing.

Last minute panic trying to get Vardy in

    DDG / Ritchie / Wood

    or

    Fabianski / Atsu / Vardy

Leaves me with no Utd defensive cover and a Swansea keeper and defender (Naughton)

Missed out on double rises and wildcard was poor but moving on! Thoughts lads? I'm spreading my team

    Elliot (Krul)
Bailly Mee Davies (Kiko & mbemba)
    Miki Mahrez Ramsey Groß (Atsu)
    Ageurö Kane Firmino

Light in midfield but that's the dilemma these days with big expensive strikers and two premium defenders! I'd like Chelsea cover but may have to rotate that with transfers each week and also lead by who is in form.

Find another way! United have conceded just two goals and are unbeaten. You need defensive cover!

    WC done.

    Not particularly excited by it.

Also feel guilty for dropping Mee and Yoshida who did nothing to be treated so shabbily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,787 ✭✭✭Benimar

    Done.

    Foster, Elliott
    Davies, Kolasinic, Jones, Naughton, Ward
    Salah, Mkhitaryan, Ritchie, Brady, RLC
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

Just the 11 changes on WC, the keepers, Davies and Kane the only survivors from GW5.

    to:

    Foster/Elliott
    Ward, Naughton, Lascelles, Cedric, Jones
    Miki, Salah, Davis, Gross, Carroll
    Lukaku, Kane, Aguero

Thoughts? My one problem is losing Ritchie, I'd prefer him over Davies or Gross.

I could change Cedric to a defender 4.0 or 4.1 and upgrade Davis but who?

Femenia for me, am I missing something, I've had him for a few weeks and he's within the top ten scoring defenders for assists and bps. Not many here seem to have him

    DDG Rosenior Lascelles
    Or
    Fabianski Jones Mbemba

Second option Gives me an extra 0.4 in the bank

Feck it out of time. Pulled the trigger. Final team.

    Fabianski Elliot
    Kola Bavies Jones Naughton Mbemba
    Mikhy Eriksen Dilva Ritchie Surman
    Kun Lukaku Wood

    0.9 in the bank

I think it's solid. Would have liked Liverpool attacking cover. Would have liked Vardy. But can fix that over time.

    Locked in now.

    DDG

    Alonso, Kolasinac, Bavies, Mbemba, Martina

    Salah, Ritchie, Antonio, RLC, Carroll

    Kane, Aguero, Vardy

I'm happy enough with that. The final spot each week will be between Mbemba, RLC and Martina.

RLC will get it 80-90% of the time and I'm happy with that as he looks great. I think the starting 10 look very very strong.

That front 3 looks very very popular on boards

Seem a lot of templated teams with strikers the real dilema. Ended going def heavy as a 6m def will outscore most of 6/7m mids
    Fab
    Alonso bavies kolas jones
    Miki salah grob
    Kane aguero vardy
    Elliot rlc mbemba carroll

Id like to issue a public apology to Ben Mee.

Coming straight back in for Naughton. A Swansea defender, what was I thinking.

Will probably wildcard at next international break. I think I'll just go against the grain with 5 4.5 rotating defenders. Or maybe Jones and 4 4.5s

    Do it.

I ran with Kolasinac, Alonso and Bavies in my WC team this week and I kinda regret it but I just wanted to do something to allow me to start enjoying the games again.

I'm planning the same thing in defense as you. [Jones and 4 4.5's]

Would enable to get a front 8 of

    Salah, Dilva, Alli, (RLC, Carroll)
    Aguero, Kane, Vardy

You could probably squeeze another 5m defender in there too.

I have Mkhi over Salah but I've got Bavies, Maguire, Jones at the back. It does involve a 8m keeper "gamble".

For anyone feeling punty or badly in need of .1
Andy king has started both of Leicester last 2 games getting an assist in one
    He is only 4.4
Likely to rise too if he keeps starting

Is he only covering Matty James while he's out injured?

Something like the following for me
    Elliot Foster
    suttner mee jones femenia naughton
    salah alli mkhi Dilva rlc
    hemed kane aguero

I wont be wildcarding for a couple of weeks though. Dilva could be pedro, alli could be mane.

How did the enjoyment go? Alonso and Davies have been an utter delight for me since bringing them in a few weeks ago...

Early days. Didn't see the Chelsea game thankfully. Bavies did alright. Looking forward to watching the Arsenal game tomorrow.

Will let it ride for a few weeks and see how it goes. They are very very easy downgrades if it doesn't work out.

It is an uncomfortable strategy as it's the opposite to what I normally do.
