What would ye think of a wildcard team of

    Foster - Elliot
    Bavies-Azpa-Monreal-Jones-Mbemba
    Dilva- Gross-Richardlison-Richie-Carrick
    Morata-Kane-Lukaku

Heavy up top and at the back.

I just can't bring myself to back a team with a midfield with no big hitters . Its a trend that a lot of people are going with but I think people are underestimating the goalscoring mids. The other side of things is that I think all the players you have picked are good options its the structure of the team that I wouldn't like. If going cheap on mids is the way to go you are onto a winner.

I've since doubled down on that with

    Courtois
    Bavies-Jones-Azpa-monreal-luis
    Dilva-Richie/Richarlison
    Kane-Lukaku-Morata
    Carrick-RLC-Elliot

I'm down at 1.3m this season, after doing well last year I almost feel like I've a free shot this year and can completely change tack

Carrick is injured and not worth a united spot
    Jones also a doubt
    Who is Luis?

    David Luiz I'm guessing

Wow that's double Chelsea defence so
    Not cheap
    And that midfield .......

I can't see how spending £34m+ on three strikers can be a viable long-term strategy.

Granted they are all scoring double digits now, but this is hardly sustainable. Pick two, and hope for the best...

Realistically they're all going to score 20+ goals in the league anyway.

I was guessing that Azpilicueta, so that'd be treble Chelsea defence, but Morata is up front so it must be only 2 Chelsea defenders including Courtois.

Too much funds tied up in one clean sheet happening in my opinion.

Jones, Carrick are injury doubts I've heard.

    Midfield does look concerning.
An area I have to sort out in my own team.

Downgrading Richie to Atsu, could allow you to upgrade Carrick to someone like Ramsey in 6.5 to 7.0 range. Might need to dowgrade one of the Chelsea defenders

Need to move things around. You can assume ANOther for Carrick at 4.3m, DDG for Courtois.

It's working on the assumption that I've three big hitters up front. So then it's should I have 7m mids and 4.5m defenders or as I'm trying to do. One mid who plays every week and then rotate another while having a strong defence

    It's a complete experiment

For anyone wildcarding, Martina off Everton is 4.3M and should start the next few games anyway

Didn't start tonight in what looked like an Everton first 11. Sat on the bench for 90.

Appreciate thoughts on my Wildcard draft.

Biggest changes are upgrading from Foster to De Gea,bringing in Dilva to Midfield, downgrading Lukaku to Morata to upgrade Wood to Vardy.

    De Gea,Elliot
    Davies,Jones,Lascalles,Mbemba, Ward.
    Eriksen,Salah,Dilva,Davis,Carroll,
    Morata,Aguero,Vardy.

I know Jones will miss this wkds game and Vardy is doubtful.
    Will play 3:4:3 most weeks.

Don't know what happened me there, I was trying to type that 'I was guessing that Azpa was Azpilicueta'

Taking a risk without Kane and/or lukaku even this weekend morata and aguero could blank with the other 2 hauling in points also not a big fan of tripling up on Newcastle defence I know you won't play Elliot but I might have a look elsewhere

Well Aguero won't be playing so he'll definitely blank

May play the wildcard tonight aguero Jones Hemed all out for me and I'm somehow still carrying Walters.

Lacazette morata and Jesus as a front 3 allows a fairly good squad. In a couple of weeks those 3 have the best fixtures aswell.

    Is he injured?

    Who ?
The answer is probably yes though this week :D

    Is he injured?

If you are talking about Aguero, then you sir would be termed as a casual around these parts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,734 ✭✭✭Bleating Lamb

Believe me with my current rank I'm very much going to be a casual this year:)

    Kenny is not a starter.
Sandro is not a starter either
Klassen also not a nailed on starter.

I suspect Martina DLC were both rested. The rest of DLC may mean that Niasse won't play

Right folks....have to sort Wildcard team tonight....no time in morning.
Main ?'s for me caused by Aguero and Jones injuries....( who I had in)
Will Vardy play tomorrow and finally do Fabianski and Elliot rotate well?
    Fab in great form.
    Team A-
    Fabianski Elliot
    Monreal Davies Lascalles Ward Mbemba
    Eriksen Salah Dilva Davis Carroll
    Morata Lacazette Jesus
    0.4 itb

    Or Team B-
    De Gea Elliot
    Monreal Davies Otamendi Ward Mbemba
    Eriksen Salah Dilva Davis Carroll
    Morata Lacazette Vardy
    0.1 itb

Gut feeling says Team B is better balanced.Know I have 3 Newcastle at back but realistically only one would play most weeks.

Was half looking at Danilo for team B but it seems Fabien Delph may take over from Mendy.
Really appreciate any advice on my possible options in next hour or so.
