I've been up to my eyes with work over the last couple of weeks that I haven't had a chance to draft up a wildcard.

I finally had a chance to mess around with my mids and forwards

    I went from this:

    Salah, Richie, Gross, Mehrez, Mkhi
    Lukaku, Kane, J-rod

    to this:

    Coutinho, Silva, Eriksen, Doucouré, Gross
    Lukaku, Kane, Vardy

I don't think that's too bad but it does mean one of my defenders will become a bench fodder, Mbemba for instance.

    What do ya fink?

    I'd have Richarlison over Dacource

Aye but he's a million more than Doucouré. I've been keeping an eye Doucouré since gw3 and he has been quietly doing the job. Also he's only 2 points of Richardlison.

    Fabianski/Eliott
    Monreal/Luiz/Rudiger/Maguire/Bavies
    Dilva/Richarlison/RLC/Richie/King
    Kane/Lukaku/Jesus

    Locked in

Hmmm ok I may have messed up tinkering on this draft. As I just drafted it up again and I'm -$3m. Bah

This aguero stuff has ruined the reason i wildcarded for. It looked like it was safe enough to go with 2 from Jesus, sane, sterling for a few weeks. Now its all doubts and second guessing.

You mean £3.0m short or £0.3m short?

If it's the latter, you can downgrade Doucouré to a £4.5m cheap mid.

Anyhow, that's a very fine looking strikeforce. Does it mean no premium def at all?

Can't you just go Jesus + D. Silva (he's been safer than Sterling/Sané so far and scoring pretty well despite being less explosive than the other 2) for now and keep £0.9m ITB or have an easy enough plan (I mean -4 max) for Aguero return?

I haven't really been considering Silva. I have a weakness for goalscoring mids.

Nah £3.0 million short. I reckon I left a defender spot open. I was kinda thinking that i got that front 8 a bit too easy.

I have Bavis and Cedric as my premium defenders.

Yeah I know. I have too. But there are so many of them with huge playing time uncertainty hanging above them (Sterling, Sané, Pedro, Mata...).
But I do also have a weakness for Merlin who rarely lets me down when in form. He's City playmaker and with KDB in a "retreated" position (not sure how you say the opposite of advanced), it could favour Silva FPL returns (in terms of assists at least) which is the case so far.

Sorry for all this WC posting nonsense when you're trying to sort out your own teams.

So the WC is now fully active

    Foster/Elliott
    Bavis, Monreal, Yedlin, Ward, Dunk
    Salah, Silva, Groß, Doucouré, Choupo-Moting
    Lukaku, Kane, Vardy

If I go with this it will be a 4-3-3, for this week, but a part of me isn't sold on this team. The middle just seems too weak. I've got .1 left ITB

Activated at the end of the last round, haven't paid nearly enough attention to it, but think I've finalised it:

    Foster
    Jones Yoshida Kiko Femenía
    Ramsey Eriksen Sterling Fabregas
    Lukaku Kane Vardy

    Elliott, Ward, Carroll, Mbemba

Fabregas feels a bit punty, but I'm hoping that Chelsea's nice fixtures plus Kante's injury will make it a good move. So many players I know will haunt me at various times...so hard to narrow down all the choices. Has the choice always been this hard?

I would be wary of Yoshida as I think he is a rotation risk. Cedric is more nailed but unfortunately is less likely to get more than a clean sheet.

Good shout, thanks. Yoshi has been a hero but Saints' central defence looks tricky to navigate. Swapped for Cedric.

    Finally settled on this

    Lossl (Elliot)

    Stones Holding Azpi (Mee, Mbemba)

    Dilva Coutinho Hazard Richarlison (Cork)

    Kane Jesus Okizaki

    Any opinions?

Did a final scan of my team this evening and ended up ripping it to shreds. Somehow ended up with 3 Leicester players. Changes from quoted draft underlined

    Lossl (Elliot)

Stones Wes Morgan Azpi (Mee, Mbemba)

    Dilva Hazard Alli Albrighton (Cork)

    Kane Jesus Okazaki

    Hart, Elliot
    Jones, Ward, Naugton, Stones, Yoshida
    Richarlison, Salah, Sterling, Silva, Carroll
    Kane, Lukaku, Abraham

After a few days of chopping and changing this is what I've come up with.

I like that, good balance, I’d go RLC in place of Carroll though

    I'd stick with Carroll
We don't even know of hodgson really rates RLC

Any other solid 4.5 def/mid? Don't like the idea of 3 Swansea players! Lowe or Moreno maybe?

Simpson , dunk or moreno. Treat moreno as a 4.5 and I think he will be a good investment. I reckon I'll get him.next week.

On a wildcard, So far this is what I've come up with

    Hart, Elliot
    Jones, Yoshida, Lascelles, Naughton, Mariappa
    Eriksen, DSilva, Sterling, Grob, Carroll
    Jesus, Morata, Lukaku

Really not settled on this at all yet, have .8 in the bank and Aguero, Kane, Salah, and a bunch of others all possibilities to come in. Any thoughts?
