I’d say it’s a tricky week to be WC too
Trying to find the balance between this week and DGW
I think getting 11 starters out this week will be enough for a decent week !

Having gone back to my pre free hit team - I think some work is needed

Speroni, Pickford,
Ward, Martina, Dunk, Alonso, Gomez
Salah, Sterling, Hazard, Silva, KdB
Firmino, Depoitre, Calvert-Lewin

Those in bold are either injured or non-guaranteed starters, and I have 2 useless strikers.

Looking at the following

Speroni, Pickford,
Shaw, Rudiger, Dunk, Martina, Kelly
KdB, Sterling, Mahrez, Lingard, Salah
Aguero, Firmino, Carroll

I got Salah for 9.3, sells for 9.7 and currently costs 10.1, so reluctant to sell him

Another option is to downgrad Kdb and have Kane instead of Firmino and then then got with a bench fodder and use the extra 2.1m to update the defence

Hasn’t the Jesus injury been reported as not too bad.

He’ll nealry be back by end of January or certainly in February.

Your team is a lot healthier than mine, although you also have 2 useless strikers in Rooney and DCL, downgrading Ali to Romeu, will give you the cash for Rooney to Aguero. Will also leave you some cash to upgrade DCL to Carroll, Wilson or Murray. That will give you a solid front 7 with Romeu a 90 min player on the bench if ever needed.

I think the team has 7 very strong players, 2 value players,2 passengers, and 4 other 90 min players. looks nice but might be a bit bear, obv downgrading Otamendi to stones frees up a 1m for somewhere else if needed as well.

Just with the teams going with Aguero and Stones would you not be better off going with Lukaku and Jones and then transfer them out after City play Liverpool ?Thats my plan anyway.

That's a mistake I regularly make on a wildcard you have to look at the scores over the next 6 weeks and pick a wildcard team for the next 6 weeks. Whatever about 1 predetermined transfer but not 2. Your already on a -4 and that's before injuries/suspensions/new signings or another player scoring well next week that you might want to get .

Well I have 2 transfers after the wildcard so its a straight swap and money is the exact same if I remember,I am planning ahead and United at home to Stoke should offer more points and then 2 easy transfers the following week.

Based on Lukaku's form in the league, I don't think going with him is in any way a good idea.
