Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Easy for Barca.

Two highest goal scorers in the league and an impenetrable defence. Not a bad combination.

Barca worth every bit of their 2 goal lead.

    Haha, desperate there by carvajal

He saved it with his hand and then it went in off his foot!
Real are getting torn to shreds.

He didn't do himself any favours by playing both Casemiro and Kovacic today.
Kroos has been anonymous today just as he was in this tie last season.

Kroos very lazy for the first goal letting Busquets turn and start the attack.

What an assist. Marcelo left for dead by Messi.

    ZZ to be sacked soon?

    Neymar to Madrid next summer?

La Liga might out spend the PL next summer in transfers.

Messi beat Marcelo and set up Vidal for the third with one boot on.:pac:

The "worst Barcelona" side in a decade look the best team in Europe at the moment. Imo.

Diego Costa already on a yellow, scored, jumped into the crowd and got a second yellow for Atletico haha

The most Diego Costa thing he could do on his return.

Shame he's not been playing last 6 months. Football needs his sort of passion and Atleti badly needed someone who isn't Torres basically.

In 15 minutes time one of the most passionate derbys in world football will begin. Sevilla will host Betis. As a betis fan and season ticket holder I think we have a great chance at a win as sevilla are in a bit of disarray.

What's going on here then, I feel I made a bad choice watching action in Sardinia tonight:mad:

What an unbelievable game. Fabián was class. Tello changed he game when he was on. If we could defend corners and crosses I would have a voice tomorrow. Still though I'm delighted amd cant wait to rub it in monday to all the sevillistas haha

Dembele back in line up today.

I wonder how they'll line up when Coutinho is available to play. Rakitic may be the biggest loser in his arrival.

Cracking goal. Suarez in fantastic form again.

Nah rakitic is arguably one of the best midfielders in the world at the mo. His form has been truly excellent. It'd have to be paulinho, iniesta or dembele.

Hmm can't say I'd agree with the strength of your assessment of Rakitic. I think Paulinho's energy and box to box power has been the biggest influencing factor over their midfield improvement this season.

Perhaps with Iniesta's age and Dembele's inexperience there'll be plenty of rotation. Be interesting how he lines up for the crunch ties though, certainly more of a selection headache now.

Rakitic is playing well this season ,adds alot of energy and legs to the midfield.

Not sure where Coutinho will slot in ,seems a strange purchase especially with Dembele back in the side.
If Barcelona think that Coutinho is a long term replacement for Iniesta I think they have made a serious mistake.

Only 56000 at the Camp Nou today according to official attendance.

    Thats poor.

It was probably said for Paulinho too about where he fits in.

Obvious spot is rotation with Dembele or letting Suarez get rest/fixed

2-1 Real, both by Bale. Some incredibly bad defending on show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,246 ✭✭✭Esse85

Bale wearing gloves tonight whereas the likes of Ronaldo and Marcello aren't, I guess that's why he got the goals.

Great save by Navas on the penalty
No chance Sisto stays at Celta past this summer, hes some talent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Navas was nearly at the penalty spot when he saved that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    Madrid deserve that

    They've been awful

    Yeah he was well out.

2-2 now. A fun final 10 left in store.

Madrid just are lethargic to watch this season
Such a disappointment after the way they played the previous season and a half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

I think the ref got that one correct

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Probably a penalty for me. Why didn't he book him if he thought it was a dive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,246 ✭✭✭Esse85

Should of been a second peno for celta .

    Would have been very soft
Madrid deserve to lose this game mind

They need to improve some amount, especially at the back before PSG stroll into town.

Vasquez played it safe with that shot, hit the target and hope
I dont remember a game he showed he was a Madrid level player

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,246 ✭✭✭Esse85

Very entertaining game, could of went either way at the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

Celta have been pretty entertaining of late. Obviously the points margin will point to this as being a bad result for Madrid. Barca only drew them with too though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Thought Madrid might come into 2018 in a new run of form, but it's same old stuff.

They just don't look interested at all.

If PSG have a go they'll win both legs. Easily.

After the Spanish Super cup who could of predicted this . It was meant to be the other way around. Credit to Barca . Especially Messi, Ter Stegan and Umtiti . All having great seasons.

I've been impressed with Rakitic any time I have watched him play this season.

Mourinho finished 15 points behind Barca under Pep in 2012/13.

Zidane is in danger of eclipsing that while facing an inferior Barca side.

Its probably safe to assume Real will have a new manager in place for next season as I cant see them winning the CL and if PSG knock them out, and in doing so humiliate Real, which is very possible, Zidane could be axed there and then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

How quickly Madrid have gone from different class to pants.

There must be something going on behind the scenes, in-fighting etc. Didn't I read recently that Ramos slagged off Ronaldo?

On the subject of Ronaldo, watching him last night he was a pale shadow of himself 12 months ago. Looked really slow and seems to have lost his touch. Perhaps harsh to judge him on that one game, but he has had some other very quiet games I've seen this season too. Madrid really need to plan for replacing him, and soon.

If I was them, I'd be going all out for Neymar.
