How long before car appears on Insurers list

    Just VRTed a car but as insurance is also up am looking for quotes. How come my car registration does not appear on the insurance register? I keep having to input the details manually.
    I thought it would cross refer to the Motor registrations register?

    Yes. Once it's only a UK/NI import you should not have any issue.

    Give the uk reg then the change to Irish plates doesn't change the premium

    Grand, thanks all. did a quote last night and sure enough it was there. Quote was 50% cheaper than 2 other insurers when details entered manually
