Fire at Adare Manor Hotel

    Reports that a fire has caused extensive damage to the Golf clubhouse at Adare Manor Hotel. 9 units of local fire brigades at the scene.
    The main building, ie the Manor which is currently under a state of the art/out of this world reconstruction is unaffected.

    We are working out there at the moment, had to send our lads to another site this morning.. It started at 4.30 this morning apparently.

    My understanding is the Clubhouse had just finished (ar was in the process of finishing) a complete ground up rebuild with new kitchens, bars, function rooms etc.. millions of not tens of millions spent..

    There's another big plume of smoke at the moment, looks like it's east of Adare, possibly Croom or Crecora direction?

    Whole thing has to be knocked to the ground and re-done from scratch.

    Once they determine what caused it, then that companies insurance would have to pay for it.
