Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last time we were in the Champions League our attack was Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert :eek:

The last time we were in the group stages of the CL we were an embarrassment and 3 of our back 5 were Mignolet, Lovren & Moreno.

    Not much has changed.

Salah cleared to play apparently, only a sore throat.

Klopp was hopeful that Salah will be okay to play tomorrow night. Only a sore throat. Also confirmed Coutinho definitely in #LFC squad

    Not much has changed.

TBF even by your maths, that's 40% of our defence that's changed. 50% excluding Mig.

    That's more than not much.

In other news, I notice Celtic were decapitated 5 - 0 at home to Paris last night.

    Dom & Lloyd

I'm picturing a neo noir detective movie.

I was thinking more along the lines of Charles Dickens novel.

I know. Very unfortunate timing for the release of that movie to coincide with me being in primary school. :(

Good lunchtime watch for the day that's in it.

Mad to see some of the players we had there in the Istanbul run again - Nunez (maybe the worst player I've ever seen in a Liverpool shirt), Sinama-Pongolle, Neil Mellor.

Mellor had such a vital role in that Olympiakos match to be fair to him.

    Champions League Day baby!!!!

I'm unreasonably excited to see us back at the top table.

    Bring. It. On.

Doing a great job at Newcastle too under poor resources.

As the years have passed the more I realised what a great job he done.

Seeing how good Newcastle are set up & the poor defences in the PL now makes you appreciate even more what a great tactical coach/manager he is.

I loved him as our manager. Was devastated when he left. I'd happily have him back as well if we ever move on from Klopp.

You'd have to wonder what he'd be like with money and proper backing from a board. Like if he was in Klopp's position now, what way our team would be. I don't care what people say about his transfer record, the man is well able to build a team.

Even with if our defence stays sh I hope one of our CBs starts banging in goals. I miss the likes of Sami, and even Skrtel and Agger being threats from every cross. Sure Skrtel had 8 league goals including a brace against Arsenal in 13/14.

And that was just in our own penalty area.

Hope Coutinho gets a massive roar from the crowd when he comes on tonight. Suarez was welcomed back with open arms after his failed transfer saga, and if we want to get the best Phil Coutinho for the next 9 months, it's vital that he's shown the same level of appreciation from the fans for the sake of his motivation and confidence.

I don't think Phil has ever evoked the same reaction from the crowd that Luis did.

I'd wager it'd be fairly muted if he comes on.

Muted would be the best reaction, the equivalent of Harry sitting on hi hands when Suarez scored, if you will. I expect his name announcement will get a mixed reaction though with lots of audible booing.

The tirade of abuse I roared at the screen when watching this live, I doubt I've done before or since.

Curtis Jones opens the scoring for Liverpool U19s in mini CL, Ben Woodburn cross parried to Jones. Couldn't miss really.

I think it'll be Adagio for Strings for Moreno

    Or maybe Chumbawamba

Sensational run by Liam Miller from his own defensive third into the peno area - Herbie Cane with a tap in.
