Lovren is the type of defender that would make you consider whether playing one at the back is a clever strategy.

Definitely a foul in the buildup to Salah's deflected goal but, if you'd allow me a moment to play the world's tiniest violin for Sevilla Handball Team, I really have absolutely no sympathy for them.

He still can't defend and it will cost us too often.

Need better and fast but will still give credit for what he's doing offensively.

I would like to see him play Just offensively... he would be automatically better as he really does not have a defenders instinct and dives in as if there's a prize for doing it!

Moreno was out of position but in that position you'd be expecting your CB to deal with it easily.

Joe Gomez has been incredible today, going forward too surprisingly.

For all the talk of Moreno being a winger, he'd probably do decently on the left as part of a 4-4-2, but I wouldn't really want him being one of our main outlets up top in a 4-3-3

And that's the problem.

You don't assume a cross will be dealt with by your CB before the ball is even crossed.

You get the right side.

Lovren takes primary blame obviously but Moreno was absolutely not doing his job either.

I'd need to watch the replay again, but I thought the only way for Moreno to get the right side of Ben Yedder would have been right through the back of him.

Agree, but as we know he doesn't have the defender instinct to cover, still Lovrens fault though.
