Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah saw stuff on Twitter about the motorway being closed this evening so it's all a bit mad.

Flanagan starts! Markovic on the bench!

Markovic on the bench? Christ I was sure he was gone or dead or something.

No, it Knex. who's called in dead.

Quite like that line up, though Flanno is a shock as is Markovic. If he comes on he better do something!

I always forget how big Grujic is

Great ball from Robertson, Ox nearly off the mark. Ox is looking good so far, very sharp.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Solanke really should have thrown himself at that.

Happy for Flanagan. Gets a lot of stick here off many but I though he was very solid in 13/14 but injury destroyed him the year after and he's struggled since.

Absolutely... perfect ball into the one place Solanke could have won it between the two defenders, and he just didn't try :-/

Phil's sharpness is coming back at least. Hopefully he peaks for the 14th of October.

    Nice work from Gomez

    Ox-Cham seeing stars or something....!

Robertson looks a proper, solid fullback. A steal at £8m in today's market.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,949 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Solanke has to finish one of Robertson's crosses eventually.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,564 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

What a cross on that guy! Let's buy Benteke back and Andy Carroll.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Liverpool should be three up by now!

Sweet left foot on Robertson, if only we had someone on the end of these.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,037 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

That curling tail on all Robertson's crosses is just brilliant. They all bend in right where you want them.

There gonna score with there first shot on target,we know this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,949 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Grujic has a bit of the Yaya about him

Poor Robertson, he deserves assists here.

One shot on target after Coutinho sold Flanagan short and Flanagan decided to stand and watch as they charged towards goal.

Teams can often regret missing so many chances. Hopefully we don't.

Should be well ahead at this stage.

Woodburn or Markovic could be on sooner than expected.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

It really is such a pity we don't have a natural goal scorer in the squad at all.

If we did he could be well into double figures with all the chances this team create.

Diego Costa would be a monster up front in this team if could have signed him.

    Ox and his Sox

Lazar to make his mark tonight and go on and gave a massive career in the red of Liverpool?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

    Origi scored for Wolfsburg tonight.

Solanke with a nicely judged run but not dink

He'll be the new McManaman/ Berger

Madness that we haven't scored in this half.

One way traffic but no goal.

Forgot we were playing! How are we doing?

Have we abandoned match threads altogether now?

Quite enjoyable but for the scoreline and therefore attendant dread of Leicester scoring with their solitary shot at goal in the 84th minute

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

    Decent performance.

More coherent than your usual cup fare, but you'd expect that with the strength of the lineup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,502 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Solanke with a nicely judged run but not dink

He looks a much smarter player than Origi already, takes up some brilliant positions and he's only 20. Only a matter of time before his finishing improves and he becomes a genuine threat in the box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭eyerer

Robertson the best player on the pitch. Coutinho with some nice bits of skill too.
Bit worried that Leicester can't be as bad in the second half and Liverpool didn't manage to score.
As we know, one chance for them could be all it takes. I think Ward has had three touches so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,949 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Wouldn't be surprised to see them bring on Iheanacho for one of their big strikers soon.

EDIT: James Pearce just tweeted Woodburn's coming on now!!! Not a drill!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,949 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Coutinho off, he was doing well but makes sense if he wants to start at the weekend.
