Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who the fcuk just let him walk past them there?

    Well that's that.

Harsh lesson for Liverpool here after the first half.

Have to take your chances and be more clinical which is what Leicester have done.

Thought klaven was very lucky there not to be shown a red. Had his elbow up and looked like he meant to hit him

He should have went with his head and cleared the ball and the man, but he gibbed it and hit him with his elbow instead, not what you want to see from your centre back, lack of bravery.

Grujic, probably afraid of tackling after getting booked for a braindead foul earlier.

Mickey Mouse cup anyway, not like we could've won the Charity Shield with it for a historic treble.

Might actually turn this one off.

Yep! That's that. Grujic dared not tackle.

    christ...

    really just horrendous.

Both Klavan and Grujic absolutely shocking there.

Not been a great 2 weeks.

Ward had been a big positive tonight. Looks more confident and able than Karius.

    REALLY?!

This lesson shouldn't need to be given at this stage, this sort of thing is nothing new for Liverpool.

Even without Vardy we're still Leicester's bitch. They've sucked all the happiness I felt when they won the league right out of me.

The lad on a stupid yellow.
Our tackling/lack of it is a disgrace.

Had our chances in 1st half and never took them same old ****e! Very disappointing 2nd half.

Never looked like scoring in 2nd half.

They missed a lot more chances in the first half than normal.

The attackers need to hold their hands up and say sorry for not having us 17 nil up at half time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Jesus, Oxlade-Chamberlin just let someone run in and take the ball no questions asked.
No effort at all from him.

Ward alas will now have to wait for the FA Cup before he starts another game.

Robertson has been a plus, pity no one able to read what he is going to do though!

Fúck sake walking around the pitch and nonchalantly mi****s the ball. £40m what a disaster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 630 ✭✭✭hadoken13

Absolute muck. Same story with teams only needing a couple of shots to score against us. Sevilla 2 shots 2 goals, Burnley score with first shot, same tonight. Klopp's aura wearing really thin. No attempt in the last couple of years to fix our leaky defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,949 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

He's not been good but how about not throwing the toys out of the pram on Ox after his first start?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Hollywood Henderson passing is rubbing off on the Ox

On the bright side of things, having learnt it now, they won't obviously make the same mistake at the weekend.

I'm not saying it's not concerning... as usual. But with this game, I just can't bring myself to care.

He is just bang average, we didn't need another attacking midfield player. What a waste of money when it should have been spent on a defender or keeper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

We are unacceptably rubbish in the 2nd half, a recurring theme,ox , Henderson, grujic have been terrible. Henderson particularly terrible.

    Embarrassing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,480 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

A lot of these players were relying on this competition to get a game. Back to the reserves for them.

Hartlepool Henderson I think you mean ...no??

If we had to get knocked out of one cup competition before Christmas, it would hav been the energy drink cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,009 ✭✭✭colly10

The amount of times the opposition looks disinterested at the start of games till they see our comedy defending and are battling tooth and nail for everything before the end :(

Apart from buying a new keeper, centre back and left back and almost getting van Dijk.

No need to panic. It will get better.

Henderson should be no where near the second string let alone captain of the starting 11.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,523 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Pretty awful period for the club. Mid table mediocrity atm. Worst defensive set up in my lifetime of supporting.

Not sure I have huge faith that it'll be sorted. We have high highs and very low lows under Klopp.

This is the competition to give reserves game time, if they can't earn more time for themselves here then it's their own fault.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

IS it still Gerard's fault hendo is ****e😜

Just copy a paste from the last time you said it, it'll save time.

Or save even more time and don't bother at all.

He's not been good but how about not throwing the toys out of the pram on Ox after his first start?

Its his 3rd game, he's done nothing of note in any game. You'd think at a new club with a new opportunity he'd be busting a gut but he's strolling around. He came on as a sub twice before and just disappeared.

Still, it's the League Cup, I detest the thing. Move on to the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

This result is on the attackers for not taking the chances in the first half.

I don't like Ox. Not based on this performance but everything I've seen at Arsenal to date. He's bang-average at everything (except being injured) at best. Fcuk the versatility he is supposed to bring, that's not what we needed desperately last window, we needed specialist defenders. Bah!

He's played a collective 30 minutes in his other two games.

Buying new players without addressing the system is not fixing the defence. It also comes down to how they are coached. Just can't see where the improvements in defence will cone from.

Are you just switching your personal campaign from Sturridge to Henderson?

    Woodburn still looks classy.
