Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When was the last time we scored an important late goal?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

We just can't break tight and organised defences down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

We will do very very well to finish 4th this season boys

Criminal to bring on Ox and leave Milner on the bench.

The last 5 results are down to our attacking players inability to score no matter how many chances they create.

Nah, we create plenty of chances just lack the quality to take them

Matip to Lovren are passing back and forth like it's 4-0 to Liverpool.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 479 ✭✭rgace

Very poor stuff for the final half an hour really, haven't looked like scoring.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 876 ✭✭✭Rumple Stillson

Oxagon-Timberframe should have won us the game there.

Another game in which stopping the only half chance they have leads to an easy win

You have to be able to win a game 1-0 ffs........this defence bails no-one out...

So do people really still want DS15 to start over Fun Bobby or even Solanke at that going forward?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,360 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Every time I see Moreno or Lovren following someone down the channel I know it's going to be a free against us.

Gayle and Diame both on the pitch now, we're 100% losing this.

That was a blatant handball by Lovren in the box. Massively got away with one there.

This is our full squad nearly.

No excuses at all for these performances

Said it after tuesday and il say it again, our lack of finishing is more of a worry than the defence for me.

Utd game is even more massive now

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 876 ✭✭✭Rumple Stillson

Well If we're going to drop points, I'd like them to be for Benitez.

    Overall, meh.

    Sick of this ****e.

Attempts stats will make it look like we made loads of great chances.

    We really didn't.

Their captain did literally the exact same thing in the box from a Sturridge shot first half.

Need a striker. Sturridge's days of starting games looks over and Bobby as good as he is, is a hit and miss finisher.

Em, yeah of course it does? Ref spots that, it's a penalty and probably a point less on the table.

    And again I'd disagree.

Didn't actually create much today as far as I'm concerned.

Alot of attempts which seem to count every Coutinho 35 yarder, the one piece of magic should have been enough but no.

Matip and Lovren had other ideas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,187 ✭✭✭mosstin

****ing hell, since the window, could it have gone any worse for us?

Really? Care to explain how we're improving under Klopp? I see the same **** every week. Looks like we are getting worse rather than better.

    Out of the league cup

    Struggling in the CL

7 points off the pace in the PL

The best strike force in the PL can't score.

    Woeful defence can't defend.

    It's grand, next up. United.

    :pac:

That was a must win game. Terrible performances across the park. Klopp looked as frustrated as I've ever seen him.

We created very little despite what the statistics say. Benitez had Newcastle well organised and they sussed us out easily enough in the second half.

If we are sound defensively, we come away with 3 points thanks to a moment of brilliance from Coutinho.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Absolutely pathetic, everything is off by about 10% which doesn't sound a lot but in a game decided by fractions it's far too much.

With the international break Klopp and his team better not be fecking off on holiday or doing a sun break for those not playing, he needs to sit down and understand why he tactics are simply not working and why his players are not functioning properly.

Why do the passes go astray?
Why do players run into the same areas and so crowd out each other?
Why is there no effective use of space?
Why has the press gone missing?
Why are the CB's passing back and forth wasting time when there is a game to be won?

Not for me. If you can at least be solid at the back, you only need one goal to win a game like that. Our defensive setup is an absolute shambles.

One win in seven games and drawing games we should win.

We're turning into last season's United and Klopp has to do something to change this.

We've had 1good game this season against a rubbish on the day arsenal, 1 out of 7,so at this rate we should have 5 good games this season, wonder what ****e klopp will come out with now, I won't be listening anyway, the guy is clueless

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,752 ✭✭✭johnpatrick81

I'd be putting Solanke ahead of Sturridge in the pecking order.

    Massively frustrating match.

Lovren and Matip were on the half way line almost when Joselu broke through. Unforgivable defending when 1-0 up away from home.

Golden chance on a plate for Sturridge and then Salah.

Blah. Big pressure now to beat United. They win and they go 10 points clear of us...

Slight peeve but there felt like endless stoppages in 2nd half, yet only 3 minutes added?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,187 ✭✭✭mosstin

Anyone remember gegenpressing? This lot look like they can barely be arsed. We seem to amble through 45-60 minutes of every match now looking barely interested.
