Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Greedy from Milner...should've pulled it back.

Had to shoot, should've blasted it. Big toe style.

Delighted there is no Lovren. He is woeful. Much prefer Klavan.

Loveren probably being rested for Wed night.

I think youre right. Have no confidence in him though. Hopefully Klavan can put in a really good performance and oust him.

Great to see FSG tell Klopp he needs to play their signing Robertson.

Sturridge really has no fight, just so easy to bundle off the ball and go to ground for a whinge.

    Wow, Matip.

Bobby seems to be following his example today.

Robertson's passing outside of his crossing has been pretty sh!te so far.

The headless chicken that Henderson has turned into even has skip down to a T.

Mane is just cool as fcuk.

Any sign of Coutinho up in DS15's box?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Robertson is doing just as hoped, good crosses and good movement when he goes inside. Not shocked that Firmino and Mane have swapped over, the obvious thing, so obvious they should have started like that but all the same it's a 4-4-2 diamond that should have been played today.

Robertson been our best player to be honest. Comfortably.

Really lacking a bit of craft and guile with no Coutinho and Lallana.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Solid enough. Really missing that little bit of guile and finesse through the middle to link it all together though.

Solanke would be a better option than DS15 up front today I think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,564 ✭✭✭RugbyLover123

Confident we'll score when Salah comes on. I'd bring Solanke on asap with the way Robertson is playing. Need a physical presence with that crossing. Studge doesn't provide that.

    Sturridge has no pace

Do you think if you use his real name he'll appear behind you and transfer his injury curse to you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

I think today maybe shows the weakness of Firmino.

I'd have him in there 90% of the time but there's time when you need less hustle and bustle and a bit more composure.

He can and does turn up in these games but he's not terribly consistent about it and he also isn't a nailed on goalscorer which bailed out some other players who could perform hot and cold for us (like Torres).

I think he's probably afraid of attracting the attention of the lad that has a **** fit every time anyone slags our Daniel.

It's as if you're Jurgen Klopp himself.

Guessing Klopp didn't like him refusing to run after that ball either.

Henderson again killing any momentum the team is building.

Fun Bobby and Solanke are working very well together.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Solanke doesn't look like an U20 player. Firmly behind the main man now.

Delighted with Robertson's performance today. All the best, Moreno. Take care.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,928 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

The defence and keeper looked really solid all game to be honest.

The forward line looked fluid and a lot more dangerous when DS15 went off.

It was the midfield built around Henderson that killed us in that game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Think we can put Gomez firmly in the Martin Kelly and Andre Wisdom section of Liverpool defenders.

I thought he did well today... defended well and put in a decent ball or two. He's a unit as well. Tho I think his future is at cb.

Great win tbh. Hard to play with 10 men for 90 mins and win. Henderson was f*cking appalling.

    Lots of positives.

    Robinson, Gomez and even Klavan.

    Salah had a break.

Sturridge got an injury free hour under his belt.

Henderson had bite but not alot else.

Lineup for midweek will be interesting.

Really happy with Robertson and Matip was fantastic

I wouldn't be rushing Nervol back into the starting 11.

Klavan still not good enough, Benteke scores and is a different narrative

Solanke jumps ahead of DS15 & Origi as the first striker sub for me now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,789 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

    Tra la la la la.

Made hard work of that but 3 points in the bag so happy days.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Phew, Gomez is one of those defenders who can be great and gibberish by turns. TAA is more consistent as a full back.

Andrew Robertson on the other hand looks like a bargain buy in this market. No nonsense crunchy defending at times, will just whack the ball out if that's the sensible option, great turn of speed, a fine cross and he already seems to know when to make the run inside to take a defender out of the picture.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,212 ✭✭✭shamrock55

great 3pts and looking back a solid enough performance I suppose, robertson and mane the stand out players today, our midfield needs serious improvement though

Solanke looks every part a first team player. Really imposed himself on the game as soon as he came on and probably should have gotten a goal.

Robertson is so refreshing, is this what it feels like to have a capable left back? Fitness seems to be the reason he didn't start the season as he was out of breath 70 minutes in today, hopefully he gets up to speed.

Matip looking the complete opposite to his performance at Watford, aside from that one chance (that probably should have resulted in a goal for Palace) our defence were really solid, and he bullied Benteke for the majority of the game.

Gomez, as a third choice RB, is fine. Did his job and didn't really fcuk anything up.
