Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't see Monaco letting him go this late into the window and given the players they've already lost. Think this is going to be another Keita situation whereby FSG can look back as say 'well, we tried'.

L'Equipe are saying that Monaco are inclined to deal with us, but will look for a deal worth €100m.

When was the last time we had an exciting end to the transfer window?

If Monaco lose Mmmbop, Fabinho and Lemar in the next few days they will come close half a billion in sales this summer.

    Torres, Big Andy and Luis?

Monaco seems happy enough to sell everyone as long as they're getting a fair price, they're like a really rich Ajax.

If all Klopps targets are unattainable, is it FSG's fault?

Lemar is very young, more to come~?
IN league 9 goals 10 assists last season in league, in UCL 2 goals 4 assists .
    Impressive.

While I think it's ridiculous to say FSG are making token gesture bids to save face and then self-sabotaging them to save money, the club is suffering from a lack of footballing hierarchy above the manager. There's definitely stubbornness on Klopp's part not to have backup options in CM and CB beyond the first choices, but if the work was done to discover and assess these players I'm sure Klopp could be convinced that there are individuals equal or close to VvD and Keita who are available that are worth signing in their place, especially with 3 days left in the window.

Fun Bobby, Mane & Salah not on the chart better sell them before the window closes and get in better.

So this Lamar chap, I'd say he's coutinho's replacement. If we sign him then coutinho will go before this window closes.

No, I think he's still in school. 1st year perhaps.

Coutinho will go next summer, get the replacement in and let him have a year before he has to fill Coutinho's boots entirely.

Sounds good to me, but also sounds very unlike how we do transfers, almost too well planned and organised! :)

Goes to show that, VVD aside, we're trying to play things tight to our chest, I hadn't even heard a rumour of Lemar until the bid was announced (assuming it's all true of course!).

    New song.

Mo Salah of Liverpool, sometimes plays for Egypt too
Gets the ball and goes past you, he's gonna score a goal or two.

I would love to see a deal done for x amount and that is the first news of the target we hear . Have a meeting hash it out and if there is no compromise walk away. All this **** in the media, mostly made up is getting a bit tiresome.

The failed deals are frustrating. No I am not saying the deal should be done regardless, the price and terms have to be right, I just think the best signings are the ones we hear less about. Keita and vvd are two players we are going to follow and wonder what if for the rest of their careers whoever they sign for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

If Barca sign Keita we should refuse to sell them Coutinho again next year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,008 ✭✭✭not yet

    Word leaking out of Anfield:

The plan is to buy Lemar get him to Liverpool, Drug him and do a makeover on him to look like Countinho, sell him to Barca for 150 mill, a 75mill profit.

Now that's how you do Business.

Liverpool apparently have made a 2nd bid for Lemar. Not even giving them time to respond now, just going full Ricero.

Deschamps has said if French players need he will let them do their medicals at the French training camp.

Didier Deschamps has given the all clear for players to have medicals in their training camp for any potential transfers :)
