Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Descaler for Nespresso

I don't own an Nespresso machine, but it seems to me the capsules you've linked to on amazon will only work on parts of the machine between the capsule and the cup - missing the pump, the heating element and the pipework between the water reservoir and the capsule.

I usually descale my filter coffee maker with some ordinary white vinegar in the water chamber. - you could consider trying that, then run a couple of blank coffees through as a rinse. It might be worth googling to see if you save yourself a few quid. The Nespresso kit seems contain lactic acid - as vinegar is acetic acid it is likely to have the same effect.

Similarly, if you don't trust the vinegar idea, an ordinary supermarket descaling product would have the same effect, I'd think ;) (still rinse afterwards, whatever one you use)

The Nespresso one is mixed through the water chamber and is designed to operate on the whole apparatus.
