    Should be red

  • Registered Users Posts: 671 ✭✭✭Quintis

Bottled it, at least a yellow there

That wasn't a tangle, he has his arms around him and he's lifting a good few stones there "by accident"

Lurch might be in trouble here "win at all costs"

I used to think your pathetic comments and name calling were said in jest.....I'm beginning to think you're serious. Scary.

    They bottled it

Everyone could tell he picked him up.....

    Commentators...

Player gets hit in the back with the ball, professional foul and yellow card

Player gets lifted and dumped, awkward tangle

Guess which involves an AB and which involves and Aussie....

Owens massively bottled that, thought it was a clear red. Driven head first into the ground.

"The officials continue to get everything spot on"
I'd say that commentator is a windup merchant

I did think that was a pi** take alright.....they know right well it was red but a minimum it was a yellow.....

Also that last kick I wouldn't say was under pressure. Advantage should have been over as the Ozzies had a good attacking platform....it was a poor kick and nothing to do with pressure

I feel like everytime there's a handle error in rugby, a knock on is called regardless. You see handling errors going flat/backwards and being flagged every game.

Yup, it went the way of league a few years ago.

There are 2 "L" words that should not be spoken...league and Leinster :D

I'm usually in the NZ get away with murder camp but I don't see how you can say there was a certain red. There's literally no conclusive evidence that shows anything other than him standing up as Hooper tries to stand and go over him. Even if there was intention, the angles available means it's impossible to tell.

    What's the ruling there?

Cheika's sour face never gets old

Smith was second man, ruck had formed, he couldn't have played the ball with his hands there

I suppose the Q is who is biased?

Professional refs or Irish fans with chip on shoulder, lemon lime and bitters as the beverage of choice, and an agenda.

    There's the rub.

Who called Owens or any ref biased? I don't see it.

Great game of rugby. If the Wallabies can get a scrum they will be there or thereabouts again.

The strength in depth of the nz backrow is an issue. Was Cane subbed off or an injury? Without Read they would be very weak there.

Genia, Kuridrani, Haylety Petty and Folau all playing great stuff.

Terrific entertainment this. 5% more composure and Australia would have another two scores, NZ will put them away in the last 20 as it stands.

Just like last week....try was awarded to Australia. Inconclusive that it isn't a try, therefore it's a try.....right?!

No, of course not. And they say the AB's get decisions.

Not sure what the blazes happened there. Nigel gave the try so he must have seen the grounding so why did they need to go back looking for a grounding?

4 inconclusive tries in the last 2 matches. Every single one decided in Australia's favour.

Oz holding off the inevitable decisive kiwi try is unbearable and thrilling at the same time

    How do they do it?

Game of the year stuff this, Australia really shouldn't have fluffed that restart.

If you don't take the kick off the top teams will punish you. Great stuff.

A shot in the arm for Australian rugby despite the end result, but they have to find a kicker.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭Erik Shin

Was hoping NZ would run that last penalty :)

    Yep.

Bernard Foley is a class player, but he left too many points on the pitch.

Wasn't Beale a decent place kicker a few years back?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,656 ✭✭✭Royal Legend

Cracking game, the accuracy from the kick off for the last try from NZ was unreal, bringing on Jordie, the accuracy from Beauden with the kick, winning the competition in the air to secure the possession and then the passing move at the end, the lines taken, left to right, right to left, left to right, they could have added another pass as another player was free to receive, unreal

What an epic game but as luck would have it I missed huge chunks of it as my youngest had my laptop dismantled while removing a virus. I watched it in fits and starts on a poor stream on an old tablet. The stream finally gave up after Kurtley Beale's try and I thought game over...a couple of minutes later the stream came back and it was 35-29 - unbelievable stuff! :D

    Highlights below.

It's one of the most amazing games I've seen in years, end to end stuff, sealed by Foley's awful kicking. Despite that, the Aussies were still in the lead with a couple of minutes left, and why they didn't approach catching the kick-off like the AB's did throughout the game I'll never understand. All they needed to do was to take the ball and they would've won! The AB's were more organised than the Wallabies at kick-off and it was so important, particularly at that point.

Foley is such a good player, but such a poor kicker. Only one of those kicks was difficult! If he'd even kicked 50% of his kicks, the Wallabies would've won! Crazy.

It'd be great if this game was as good as the one from this morning.

What an absolute atrocious kick from Hernandez. One of the worst butchering of a try Iv ever seen.

Not entirely sure why the Springboks are wearing their (odd) change strip.
