Im looking to start a 3 year ordinary degree in september which on paper is a level 7/6 course. I would like to claim BTEA during and have been on the jobseekers allowance since May. It says courses upto level 6 are secondary level which require you to have been on the jobseekers for 3 months upto the start of the course and for a level 7 you must be claiming for 9 months prior.

Anyone have any idea if i qualify or not?

A 3 year ordinary degree is classed as level 7 so I'm afraid you'll have to of be in receipt of a social welfare payment for 9 months out of the last 12 months.
