New bike but overweight

I have just purchased a new racing bike. I have never had one but always wanted one. Always had mountain bikes. I am about to pick it up shortly but am having second thoughts because of my weight issues. Are racer bikes suited to larger people. Am i just over reacting.

I got the bike back this evening. It had been ready since last week but didn’t get a chance to collect it.

It’s all fixed up now apparently. They said the issue was the rim tape was letting part of the spokes puncture the tube. The tyres were still inflated when I picked it up which was over a week after it was ready so let’s hope that’s it sorted for good.
