    Hi guys,

I recently got a pair of lovely Castle Trent speakers, and want to set them up(as a standalone system) with a turntable and phono amp on the cheap(but not nasty).
I'm definitely open to  ex-display / open-box items, and was thinking of something like the Project Primary with Pioneer A9010 Amp, but am thinking this might be a bit out of my price-range - especially on the Amp front.
    Any suggestions?

    Cheers,
    John

    Hi Johnnyboy29.

I have to say I'm not familiar with Castle Trent speakers.

I do have an open box Yamaha AS301 (Ex-Display, in top condition and fully reboxed) retails at £225.00 - I could drop to £185.00 to clear.

For the Onkyo A9010 which retails at £199.00 I could drop a little on this to £180.00 (Very popular amp).

Even perhaps the AS201 priced at £169.00

For the Turntable the Project primary would be a good little turntable priced at £170
    http://www.richersounds.ie/p-202607-primary.aspx

If you went an extra £10 you could go for the Project Essential 2 priced at £179.00
    http://www.richersounds.ie/p-12379-essential-2-black.aspx

We also have an open box Project Elemental in silver which is clearing for £139.00 (retails at £175)

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks for that Kenny.

What is the difference between the Essential and the Primary?
What would be your best price in euro for the Yamaha AS301 and the Project Primary delivered to Wexford?

    Cheers,
    John

    Hi John.

The Essential uses a different tone arm and also has a higher grade cartridge installed.

Best Euro pricing would be 429.99 Euro (Inc Delivery). Or you can also pay in sterling at £361.99 (Inc Delivery).

    Hi Kenny,
I think I'm going to go with the Yamaha as301 and the Project essential. I think it will probably work out better paying in sterling.
How soon could I get it delivered?
    Cheers,
    John
