    Existing customers of BOI. How long is a home improvement loan application taking at present? Have had previous loans with BOI so all relevant information is on file. Submitted application yesterday afternoon. Thank you

    Hi - (first time poster here). My partner applied for an online 45k home improvement loan on 12 June. He banks with BoI, and already has a small car loan with BoI, so all details one would assume are available for the lending team to view. He has no mortgage on the property for which he intends to use the loan. In 8 July the online application tracking system asked for documentation with PPSN number, and stupidly, he only then realised that all official documentation has the long version of his name rather than the shorter version, which he used on the loan application. Finally spoke to a helpful member of the lending team who advised him to go to a BoI branch and change his bank account details to the name matching official documentation. Castletroy branch did this, they were extremely helpful and sent a notification to the lending team. He believed that should sort the situation. Uploaded another document to the online tracking system and have heard nothing since. Today being the 22 July, I'm just wondering is this the normal amount of time an application takes? Can anybody shed any light on this, he does need to move fairly quickly now. Thanks for any information.
