How did people find yesterday. I found it easier than the comp, not that I am saying the sims were easier! I have been happy with my timings for the comp and the sims, which was my main objective. I found that having a template for planning and writing down at what time I had to complete each indicator by really helped me out.

How are people fixed for tomorrow?

I'm not surprised since you are doing literally 12 hours a day, I mean, if you don't get 100% after that there's something seriously lacking. Since I'm busy having a social life etc, I am not fixed for tomorrow.

The other mocks were grand. It’s just that the FAE is run by a different team. I got an email yesterday reminding me to do a survey

Depends on the class. They email details of the venue ahead of time.

Only on street (metered) parking near LL as far as I know.

Mine wasn't working earlier on google crome, the message came up about overheating systems , but if you open with Safari it should work!

I can watch the lectures about Grainne's crazy book suitcase in chrome, but the actual lectures will only work in IE. No idea what's going on.

No that’s a waste of space. Put Finance and Management in one and tax and BL in another. You don’t need six folders

I found core a massive wake up call, hadn’t a clue for most of it. APM was reasonable I think!

has anyone else notice that the recordings for the STEPS cases don't match up. Steps case 3 is YVM Ltd but they have sanctuary hotels as a recording instead very frustrating

All the FAE recordings are available however with the issues we had with the servers we have moved the recordings to a new place so they are unaffected by the problems.

My tip would be to accept you won’t be passing and just do a steady plan to get everything covered for the resits.

Proper study leave as recommended by the Institute has just started. So that's only panic you are feeling right now.

Calm down, breathe and start practising questions. If you feel like starting with case studies is too much start tackling individual subjects for a few days, find out your week points make notes of them (thefox1982 was talking about practising in the morning and making changes in the afternoon to notes in a previous comment, that's good advice) then move on to case studies. Someone that passed last years exams (Atticus Finch I think) said about Steps cases being the more difficult, followed by case study days, mocks and exams (don't really remember very well the whole thing it's at some point in this thread) I wouldn't worry about not doing well in either steps or case day studies and will try to focus on mocks and exams. (By the way that's kind of my study plan)

Don't give up this is starting panic, beginnings are always hard, practising will help you get better. Keep going there is plenty of time and keep practising questions, the more the better. You can always learn from things you do wrong now and best of luck.

And you might find helpful going to some of the grinds that are going on. ACARevisions still have the Audit and FR ones that I'm pretty sure you may register and there are still some from Chartered Grinds School (the case study day from them is at the end of this month). There might be more stuff around.

Finally you might be able to contact lecturers. The first day of class most of them were giving contact emails to ask them questions. They may be on holidays some of them now and take some time to answer but I'm pretty sure they will answer you.

If the exams were this week I would imagine a huge chunk of people wound't be passing (100% myself included!), so I wouldn't worry about it at this stage. There is still so much time.

As tanit said above, cases/filling gaps in your knowledge from the information you could not get in the cases. Building your folders up as you go along. Very easy to get worked up about it but maybe try make out some sort of study plan for the next week or two and just take it a day at a time! It will be fine

The poster said they were not going to pass. I gave the most helpful tip in this scenario, which is to not get your hopes up.

If the original poster needs people to hold their hand that much that they have to tell them to try answering cases, they’re in for a rough ride because that’s obviously what we should be doing.

I’m not going to sit and make someone feel better about themselves only for them to fail. The advice given after was not revolutionary nor even helpful. “Try past papers.” Give that man a Nobel Prize, I’d never thought of that!

I won’t be branded as having a problem just because I’m not sucking up to people and giving them the attention they want. Think you’re going to fail? Do something about it. Don’t post about it online for general, stupid responses.

If someone wants to do 12 hours study a day..what is that to you? why keep going on about it? Fair play to the guy for working that hard and being that determined!
