Getting kind of sick of all the remasters.

I'm having a great time playing Yakuza Kiwami at the moment. Great game. Once I have that completed, I'll probably fire up the 360 and play Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

Started up Sonic Mania and while it's fun it feels like the fan hack it kind of is. I'll stick with it but it's not too compelling although that might be the mood I'm in.

Also started Binary Domain. Been wanting to get into Yakuza and remember this being described as Yakuza with guns and sci fi. I forgot how much fun shooting up the robots in this game is. Also has a Snatcher vibe off it. Hoping to stick with it until the end this time, the combat is so much fun.
Oh Binary Domain is a whole lot of fun, not a classic or anything but definitely on my list of underrated games from the seventh generation of consoles.

DOOM at the moment for me. New PC finally built and this was top of the list of games I've been holding off on until now. ****ing hell it's great...

Doom is just brilliant, it's the example of how to take an old game and update it to modern standards. They just got so much right in that game.

    Bayonetta/Vanquish bundle possibly being released...

    https://www.destructoid.com/it-looks-like-a-bayonetta-vanquish-two-pack-is-coming-to-ps4-and-xbox-one-460212.phtml

Never got the hype around Vanquish, decent game, but Bayonetta was good fun. Would get it if was cheap-ish and had some new features.

Several times I've gone back to this and I've yet to complete it. Something just doesnt gel with me. And I'd same I'm nearly finished too.

Vanquish took me about 6 hours so you probably were near the end :D
    It's really short.

Funny that, i just couldn't get into it. It looks well, it plays well, but i just couldn't stick with it. Only done the first few missions but no intent of going back.

Same with Vanquish, didn't get the big deal about it, thought it was just bland and boring.

I find Doom fun... but only for 15-20 minutes at a pop, half hour absolute tops. More a personal opinion than criticism of the game itself though, can definitely appreciate how well made it is - audio and the visceral feeling especially are stunning.

Loved it right up to the last level in Hell and it just seemed to turn into a complete pain in the hole imo. Maybe I was just itching to get it finished but I found that last level a real struggle.

I enjoyed Doom until I hit the hell levels then it all went a bit meh.  I've tried to get back into it but find it very hard to keep playing through.  Belting around the base on Mars was so much more compelling.  It's a pity the multiplayer was so bad - didn't enjoy that experience at all.

Titanfall 2 single player was much better than Doom imo

Oh The Suffering was excellent. Remember playing it on the PS2. It was incredibly creepy - especially those claw creatures that could crawl along the roof and drop down at any moment. The noise of them clattering along was terrifying. It had an interesting story, too.

Also it had an interesting thing where if you were doing an escort mission, as such, and your character died, whoever you were with would start freaking out over the death screen. Saying how you can't leave them and such.

Though I had the most infuriating game-breaking glitch. Where I'd get to the end of the game, where you're supposed to kill the final monster. And it would never show up. Nothing I did made him spawn. Never got to finish it, but it was such a great game until then.

Battlefront Ultimate Edition is only a fiver now on the PS Store. Would you get any craic from it in Single Player mode?

Same on Origin at the moment and thinking about it from the same perspective. This article would indicate that it isn't really.

Old room mate had it on the PS4, fun multiplayer but got rather samey we found (never got to play the mass multiplayer stuff though because EA's servers couldn't handle it over a month after it came out, at which point we gave up on the game), but unless something was added later on, single player is nonexistent... what little there is basically just covers enough to count as training/tutorials for playing online. Was very disappointed in that, personally.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider out on friday. Really do love going for no kills/powers/detections in one run in these games.

I went with it in the end. Sure feck it, it was the price of a pint. There's split screen play so I might get a bit of craic out of that.

Didn't know where to place this,
My mate was in the hospital (his wife is pregnant) and he seen this and told me he'd signed me up :P

But just goes to show how serious they take it and how much of a possible problem it is here in Korea.
They had to bring in new rules to PC Bangs that kids can't be in there past 10pm etc too

Mind letting us know how you get on with it? Not so much worried about the price, more whether the time investment, whatever that may be, is worth it. :)

The original is a PC classic. Hard to go back to as it was CPU bound and locked at 15 fps so hoping the remake makes the game a lot smoother.

Continued on from a previous post, everything that's wrong with gamers these days. In my day, there was no regenerative health, no kill bonuses and we had to walk to school in our bare feet.

I ended up playing about 4-5 hours of the 40 player matches over the weekend as the single player content is really crappy. I'm not one for multiplayer games at all and I wasn't playing with a mic or headphones or anything but I found it a good skit. I was totally rubbish at it but that didn't bother me at all. I suspect there was a fair few new players in the mix this weekend along with me. I'll probably play a bit more of it over the next couple of weeks. The 40 player matches were pretty easy to dip in and out of.

    On a related note...

There's a lot of subtle design decisions made like these based on user feedback during development. The best ones, as you can see from that thread, are the ones the player never knows about, the ones that encourage the weaker players to continue but don't get in the way of more experienced players.

Cheers for the follow up, man! So, would you recommend picking it up or would the four hour trial be enough in preparation for the sequel?
