The goal of this project is to develop a mockup/demo app of an Augmented Reality product that a field technician who is wearing ODG R7 glasses (http://osterhoutgroup.com/products-r7) can use when maintaining expensive field equipment. It would have similar functionality to the products below https://www.fieldbit.net/ https://upskill.io/ https://www.vital.enterprises/

The final app will have 3 use scenarios.
1.A field technician can look at a QR code on an asset (piece of equipment) and have relevant data/work procedures etc displaced on their glasses. It will need to pull this data from a database somewhere. - For the demo we will pre load 3 demo assets/QR codes.
2.A user can look up information on an asset/work procedure from a menu system/search bar (without using the QR code). Again the final product will need to call a database somewhere. For the demo we will preload a number of demo assets and procedures
3.A user can do skype like call through the app. This function won’t be included in the demo

A wireframe of the app can be found at the link below. I am open to redefining the look, detail etc as we go. Also suggestions on how to simplify it are welcome. Wireframe - https://wireframe.cc/pro/pp/07be0afcc104001

The ODG SDK can be found here https://developer.osterhoutgroup.com/hc/en-us

If successful this can of course lead to all sorts of ongoing work/partnership etc

Have you looked at unity and vuforia?. I would think you would need a game engine to push the 3d vr content. It's to too hard to do, esp your looking for a demo.
