Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jaysus this keeper is getting all the luck :D

Harsh on him as he's had a good game
    The strike was lovely
Nothing the keeper could have done

Great to see OG back on the scoresheet :)

I agree with Mitch that bar one or two moments it’s been a terrible performance.

Aye, the prick has been badly out of form for us.

Good save, pity it didn’t come on his left

Well deserved lead. Only one team in it the last 25 minutes.

    First 30 minutes were brutal
We have been much improved since.
Matic and mctominey look settled now

Harsh. Over the balance of the first half we're by far the better team and have created far more chances. They had a good start but haven't had a kick for 20 minutes.
I think you're being very generous here.

**** performance. Very lucky not to have conceded a pen. Need more from Lukaku and the 2 fullbacks

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,790 ✭✭✭Bret Hart

Lukaku has been largely awful since returning from the international break. It's starting too become a worry.

Did McTominay get a bad whack in the ribs or something?

    Scrap the cap!

Agree - I think he looks a very good keeper for a guy who has only barely turned 18.

Not really. What have they done since the Pen? Nothing. Since then we should have had another pen, Lukaku had a decent shot saved, had a header over the bar that he should have scored and was clean through but messed up the chance. Add the goal onto that. We've completely dominated since around the 20th minute.

McTominey has come into the game really well and that's made a big difference too. Looks a decent player.

He was on the ground when we scored. Surprised we didn't kick the ball out tbh.

Atletico getting beat 1 nil by quarabag or whatever they called Griezman could be a massive possibility in January.

You won’t get much more off naively from those two.

Was going to say, they've dropped to the bottom of their group now. 2 points from four games is awful for them, especially with two games against Quarabag.

I dont think so I think we can pay more then Barca they having trouble paying Messi a new contract seemingly and have to sell players.

I'd also like to think that he actually does want to play for United a team he supports but only time will tell.

DDG pulled another world class save out of his hole after the penalty. They've moved the ball up the pitch a lot better and quicker than us and have found themselves in dangerous positions. They've equalled us in terms of possession.

I think you are right to say that we improved as the half went on to say but I disagree when you say 'we're by far the better team and have created far more chances'. It's not a million miles away from a statement at half time at the weekend where someone said Tottenham 'bossed' the first half which many United fans took issue with.

Forgot about the DeGea save actually.

Our pen was soft apparently according to TV3 again at half time. Clowns.

    Nah, he's been decent
But some poor decisions in final third

    Nearly 9 games now
I've never seen a player consistantly perform as bad as Miki in a very long time
Not one thing he's doing is working

Chelsea getting hockeyed in Italy, hopefully dent the confidence before the weekend.

Sums it up. The attitude of most of the players stinks.

Jesus wept. Smalling saved Bailly there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,843 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Bailly, Mkhitaryan and Lukaku haven't been at the races today. The first two especially.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,226 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Mkhitaryan is incredibly weak, physically.

He cannot withstand the slightest bit of contact without losing balance/ball control.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,366 ✭✭✭Robson99

Benfica should be winning this game. We are muck

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

    Jaysus Bailly .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Bailly make so many mistakes. Somehow his reputation doesn't take much damage. Maybe he's just fortunate that they don't lead to costly goals.

Can the ref blow it up now and just put us out of our misery

He is possibly rusty as he is only coming back from injury
