Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bailly make so many mistakes. Somehow his reputation doesn't take much damage. Maybe he's just fortunate that they don't lead to costly goals.

    You think?

He's had a bit of a stinker tonight but I cannot remember many / any previous instances where he was cack.

Sums it up. The attitude of most of the players stinks.

He's consistently below average with his distribution imo

Yep. Martial has been fine. Matic to a degree.

Chelsea getting hockeyed in Italy, hopefully dent the confidence before the weekend.

At least roma are good and chelsea are away. We have been very poor at home to an average benfica team

Maybe it is rustiness tonight as was pointed out.

It's certainly not the first game of his I've seen where I've been underwhelmed.

What is the point of those dopes on the goal line they are so idiotic

De Gea, Smalling, Darmain and MacTominay?

I would add McTominay to that, and Mata has been ok.

Edited to add: DDG has been his usual self too

    Linesman again
    Go to spec savers fs

Much better now Herrera is on. Wouldn't be hard though.

3 in midfield seems obvious. Not sure why it wasn't like that from the start.

3 in midfield, three up front.

What's honestly the point of having the extra linesman?? Seem useless way too often

Ffs take off our best player.

Can Rashers take a peno I wonder? It's his birthday :)

Great play from Lukaku and Rashford

    Pure class from rashford

    Blind

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,621 ✭✭✭caviardreams

    Blind - jaysus

    Fair play Daley!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,735 ✭✭✭dirtyden

Bailly needs a few games. A lot of center halfs look rusty coming back into a side after injury.

Mikitharyan is more of a worry, he has looked poor and worse disinterested for a while now. You don’t mind a bad run of form so much if a player looks like they care but he just does not seem to look that way.

Blind taking the peno is a joke!!! Lukaku wanted it, is our no1 striker and mourinho wont let him take it!!! He doesnt even play every game. Crazy decision

AH give it to Lukaku. Needs the confidence boost before Chelsea

Hopefully CSKA can hold off for a draw at Basel allowing us to really take our foot off the gas for our next 2 games.

Ah goway will ya lukaku is not a penalty taker he had a crap record for Everton and took a crap one for us at Leicester that he shouldn't of took... your consistent bitching about everything lately is a joke.

    They've taken the lead.
    That's even better.

    Great ball from Lukaku again

He's still creating an awful lot even without scoring

    Love it

What if he has missed it, like his last one?
Thought it might have been Ander.

De Gea of course but was talking about outfield players. They set the tempo as a collective. Apart from the terrible build up play for the most part, the freedom given to the Benfica players says more about the attitude to me than anything else.

The above three maybe you have a case for them doing ok but not really for me.

How has he been poor he is working his socks off for the team again made some nice runs from out wide missed a chance yes but that don't make him poor.

Rashford comes on and adds energy straight away same as martial did the weekend.

Mata doesn’t fit in this team no matter how hard we try to fit him in. The likes of himself and Blind won’t be part of this team if it gets the chance to evolve.

    Mkhitaryan is incredibly weak, physically.

He cannot withstand the slightest bit of contact without losing balance/ball control.

There was a fourth little pig, who built his house out of Mikitaryans, but it fell over before the big bad wolf got there.

    The manager decides
Like he put blind on it
    And he scored
    Get on with it fs

I'd love to see Martial and Rashford start games together. The two of them on form would terrify teams.

Jose's policy is you miss you're out, onto the next taker

Do United really need a set in stone penalty taker? NO

Who cares who takes the bloody things as long as they score.

Yeah, every time hes touched he drops, doesnt look like hes diving either, just cant take it.
