Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah. One of those ones where it looks bad in slow mo, but in normal speed, it was just poor luck. It's a red, but it's not malicious.
I didn't even think he was late. He got the ball but the way bellerin approached it meant there was no way he could not make contact.

He needed to pull out earlier.

Still a red though as you can call it reckless and not being in control.

One of the best games I've watched in a long time. Not a pretty Utd performance but a clinical one for sure

    Cmon Utd!!!

    3 for a dangerous tackle

Is it 3 or could it drop to one game?

    Brilliant win. Weird performance.

Great pressing and clinical for the goals but the defence was a shambles for most of the game and De Gea saved us countless times. We seemed to have more composure at the back with 10 then we had with 11.

Massive win only negative is the red card.

Can't afford to get beaten in the derby but no Pogba is a huge loss.

    Pogba to miss :

    Man City
    Bournemouth
    West Brom.

Terrible timing for a red card especially since he's only just come back from his injury.

Jose will need to prepare a tactics masterclass for next weekend if we are to get anything out of it.

Masterclass from De Gea. Best in the world by a distance.

Need a win next week too. 1 point is nearly as bad as 0 with the gap.

Disappointed with the Pogba red, but no complaints on it. Wasn't deliberate or malicious, imo, but that doesn't matter. Makes that city game even tougher than it was, we'll certainly be playing ultra defensive now.

But, 3 goals and 3 points today. Clinical with our chances. Lucky not to concede a load due to poor defending. De gea earning us points again.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

That was not great performance but it was massive 3 points.

Pogba challenge was a red all day long but I can't be harsh with him on it was a split second decision and one of the few things he got wrong all season and was a mistake I don't think it was malicious but it was a red.

Over all he will miss next week's game but to be honest I would of taken 3 points from six of you offered them to me at half time.

That match thread turned nasty in that 2nd half but I guess they all do in the big games.

A point is far far better than 0.It at least stops the gap getting bigger City get 3 points and its done n dusted.

Proud of the team when they went down to 10. Showed real character which we have questioned in the past.

The midfield looks really fooked for the City game. Herrera was poor again when he came on.

I get that it’s a huge loss not having Pogba for the derby but you know what? Maybe if I was offered 3 points from the two games I’d have taken it. I know there may well be a melt down on here if we lose but I think it will be a decent return from the two games.

Yes I know the game to lose isn’t against City as they will pull further ahead but I still don’t think Jtd are good enough to win the league this year and if they Matas to finish ahead of Spurs Arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool I’ll be happy enough.

Lingard was fooking brilliant today. That high press from him really knocked Arsenal out of their stride and to come up with two goals too is fantatsic.

That display with 10 men was more impressive than we were doing with 11 and I think it’s a great pschological boost that they didn’t concede again.

Give me a draw in the derby now and I’d be happy.

Seems calling players scumbags is a OK now on here.

De Gea is definitely the best keeper in the world.

    Neuer can fúck off.

It's not because 1 will also deny them 2 . 0 will give them 3

Well that match thread turned into an absolute shambles :)

Nice for the neutrals to see a United game this year though, threads have been dead most of the time!

Ha Jaysus. Don't see why Pogba would go out to do his compatriot.

If we can beat an undefeated Man City next weekend in any way possible without Pogba, that'll send a serious message throughout the league that we are serious contenders.

Biggest game of the season . Can't wait

I know it wasn't a brilliant attacking display winning 5-1 against Brighton but some brilliant attacking play against the Arse and winning 3-1 Will have to do.

Wonder will he be picked for the world 11

I'd have taken 1-3 and a Pogba red card this morning.

If our entire title bid relies on us having Pogba to face our biggest rivals at home then either

    A) our team or results aren't good enough
    B) our rivals team or results are just better than us

With 3 points today going into the final 10 minutes at 0-0 next weekend with a chance to nick a winner would be a reasonably good position to be in imo.

Go for the win. **** 0.0.

While DeGea was great, how many should they have actually scored? 2 or 3? We still scored 3 and hit the post.

Straight red is 3 matches, 2 yellows is one match.. don’t think he has any hope of not serving all three with that.. don’t even think we should appeal it as it could be classed as frivolous and he gets an extra match on top

We'll not appeal. It was a red end of story.

Why do I feel you're disgusted that you can't be lambasting Jose this evening, so instead are trying to set up an absolutely impossible hurdle for next week so you can do it then when he fails to leap it?

Agree it was a straight red but that's it he will probably be regretting it but these things happen.

Frivolous appeal isn't a thing anymore, is it?

I say appeal it, may as well chance our arm. Liverpool appealed Mane's karate kick and didn't get anything extra.

Love the optimism but the fact that they're undefeated this season and slapping teams left right and centre is quite intimidating. But what better team to put up a fight on 1st place than the team in 2nd right. Nonetheless we definitely do need a win. Draw or Lose will be a disaster
