Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As much as Martial frustrates me, he would have buried that.

Ah shame Shaw didn't hit that first time

Nice move from Lukaku and Rashford followed by the obligatory “can’t miss the first man”corner.

    Id say

    GK
    Victor
    Smalling
    Blind
    Valencia
    Herrera
    Pogba
    Shaw
    Mata
    Rashford

    Lukaku
Looks more like what we played at the weekend which I'd describe as

    GK
    Victor
    Smalling
    Blind
    Valencia
    Herrera
    Pogba
    Shaw
    Mata

    Lukaku
    Rashford

    Shaw is looking incredible !!!

Great start from Luke shaw. Probably should have picked out rashford with that cross though.

Disappointing to see Lukaku not even try get in the box when the ball went out towards shaw unlike rashford run

Feel like there should be a Shawshank Redemption pun to be made...

Shaw's Manc Redemption... terrible I know, but best I can do!

Shaw showing plenty of encouraging signs, but we have seen this before tbf

Yup. It's like every bit of confidence has been drained from him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Pogba dialing it in a bit.

Shaw playing really well. His pace gets him out of so much trouble.

Our final ball has been woeful.

Shaw looks like a man on a mission.

And I am delighted. One game I know, but keep up this rate of trajectory and there will be €50m saved in the January window.

This is it, really. There'll be some going "omg, why doesn't Jose play him more often". He's doing well but will take more than one game to prove this is his level and not a once off performance.

    You gotta be joking me

And Shaw loses his man, leading to the goal :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Brainless from Rashford there, he needs to learn when to showboat and when to retain the ball

    Only what we deserve tbh

No doubt Shaw will be hung out to dry for that goal.

Was sloppy all over, in fairness. But we had switched off for the previous ten minutes, and everyone looked half asleep :(

    Miles offside!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,047 ✭✭✭Unearthly

    Clear offside

Surely Dzagoev is offside if Blind is off the pitch?

Got what we deserved either way, Smalling 3 yards behind the line aswell playing the winger onside in the build up

Wouldn't throw it all on him. Smalling was 2 yards behind the rest of the defensive line playing him on.

Offside surely? Kilbane seems to think because a Utd player is off the field, he's playing everyone on... is that right?

Or is it onside because the Moscow player is trying to avoid the ball (ie. not play it) even though it hits him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Frustrating goal to concede but might wake us up a bit. Last 20 minutes were rubbish.

Player off the pitch played him on

    Ha typical.

We have such a non existent midfield when we don’t have the ball. Pogba half arsed. Mata such a lightweight and so slow and Herrera very limited.

I know th goal came from the lb position but every time Moscow get the ball they are nearly guaranteed to keep possession up to the edge of our box because our MF is so disfunctional.

Is there not a rule that says it's only offside if it influences play? Ball was going in regardless....

Blind is in play even if he's beyond the line.

Scratch that Kilbane is right, he's onside
