Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To think I used to have a soft spot for Barca before. My shame

They are the equivalent of the school yard bully that gets a smack in the chops then goes crying to the teachers about it.

    It's fantastic.

    Nothing will happen 're city.

Everyone and their dog knows the whole set up there is corrupt as fcuk.

Of all the teams to be complaining about it :D

And LFP might want to reconsider going along with it given who just bought a 44% stake in one of their clubs ;)

Really looking forward to Zlatans return. Completely forgot about Wilson. You'd think he would have moved on by now but he's still around it seems

Full champs league squad for anyone that can't get Twitter.

    United Champions League squad:

    Goalkeepers: De Gea, Romero

Defenders: Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Jones, Lindelof, Rojo, Blind, Darmian, Shaw

Midfielders: Pogba, Herrera, Matic, Fellaini, Carrick, Young, Lingard

Forwards: Mkhitaryan, Mata, Martial, Lukaku, Ibrahimovic, Wilson

B list includes: Joel Pereira, Tuanzebe, McTominay, Rashford

Wilson was out injured for most of last season unbelievably he is still only 21 but to be honest he doesn't seem to have kicked on with any loan deal since he came into the United first team.

Why is Wilson in the main squad and Rashford is in the B list?

    What am I missing here?

Age, Wilson had to go on the main list but Rashford because of his age can go on the B list, means we have an extra place on the main list too

Yeah why no Rashford is a really odd omission. All honesty I would have put him in the midfield rather than Young.

He is there he don't need to be listed in the a squad because he is under the age of 21 at the start of season.

We didn't have to name Wilson though, unless for home grown quota - it's interesting that he was included but I suppose it could just be a case of there was a space for him so why not name him.

Ah yes, completely forgot about that.

I guess we needed cover for the group stages in case all our forwards pick up injuries so I guess Wilson is next in the pecking order.

Yah its same reason he named zlatan there was space left in squad and he may As Well be in it incase they want to give him minutes in it later in the group stage.

Rashford with the assist while wearing number 7

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,618 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Another assist tonight for Rashford - Dier goal from a corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Smart low ball into the front post or piss poor attempt at a corner with no height?

    I'm undecided.

Didn't see the Slovak goal till just there, Rashford badly at fault, gave the ball away first and then failed to track the runner

And despite hoddle spending the entire game verbally blowing off the spurs players especially Ali, clearly Rashford was by a mile the best player tonight.

Delighted to see him get man of the match another two players back without injury.

Wouldn't sell him for anything. Love him and his attitude - seems very grounded

If ox was a 35m with a short contract then Rashford is worth 3 or 4 times that.

You mixed up your phrases. I was confused as hell for a sec that he had some gripe with them.

He never gave over about Ali who was pretty crap the whole game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

I had to laugh at them making lite of Ali giving the ref two fingers he will rightfully get a ban for that.

He is grounded but also very ambitious. I could see him wanting to play for Real or Barca in the future, even if United are regulars in the CL knockout stage. He doesn't look like a one-club man to me, and even though it'd be disappointing if he left at some stage, it is to be respected.

He is not even first choice player (like De Gea, Pogba, Matic who are for sure starters) and you are talking about him leaving to Madrid and Barca in the future, just like how people thought Madrid will be in for Martial.

LVG didn't really have a choice, Rashford was literally the only fit forward he had available at the time.

You're going to have to explain this one please.

What the hell does it even mean?
