Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Somebody finally calling out "journalists"

Even if he does play for City, well played Mendy.

Castles said the concern is that he has ruptured his achilies - he didn't say that was the diagnosis.

This is what Pep said last night:

"Tomorrow he's travelling to Barcelona and we will see finally what he has," Guardiola told a news conference. "Our first impression is that it will it be a little long, longer than we expected. It is very frustrating for him first as a person"

So Pep obviously feels there is cause for concern on the injury - maybe Pep and City are CONCERNED that it could be a ruptured ligament.

So are you expecting Mendy to call out Pep too? "How can you say it is longer than expected - no diagnosis yet - stop talking like you're a doctor!"

Sure pep even said they might need to sign someone in January because of the injury.

I have great difficulty with CSKA.

It is ingrained in me that it is C.S.K.A Moscow. I just can't get myself to call them 'Ceska Moscow'. Its been too long.

Wait what? They are called Ceska Moscow now? :o What happened to C.S.K.A.?

I honestly don't know if there was a change - but I don't think there was.

I think it is simply that we see CSKA written in that way as initials - but it is actually just a word.

It is still CSKA Moscow, just it is supposed to be pronounced as a word (Ceska/Seska).

It's an abriviation for them central sports club of the arm so what ever that is in Russian.

Levy has been holding teams to ransom for years,if a club wants him they are gonna have to cough up a huge sum.
The Neymer deal did happen so it doesn't really matter now what Kane would have been worth pre Neymer moving.

Kane wont be going anywhere so unless some oil rich club go for him because 200m doesnt make any sense for a club operating under FFP

Don't like the three at the back - we just never look comfortable with it to me. Still fingers crossed for a result!

    Thats...
    DDG
    Lindelof Smalling Bailly
    Young Matic Herrera Blind
    Mkhi
    Lukaku Martial

    Right?

Two strikers, Martial with no defensive responsibilities?

That would be my understanding, I think we are playing 3 at the back as Jose doesn't fully trust Smalling in a 2? And probably doesn't think Lindelof is ready yet. So Bailly in the middle

Dunphy claimed that Mikhi hasn't the heart for the big time.

Personally I prefer the skill and craft of a Mikhi than the heart and graft of a McClean.

    Nonsense deduction

I'd say we'd be playing 3 at the back if Jones was fit too. I think it's a setup that Jose clearly wants to be able to use in certain situations. I'd be more than happy for that to continue if our players can get to grips with it.

Him and Johnny Giles love an intangible mental quality that they can use to further their points whenever it suits because it is very difficult to disprove. I always watched them for the craic, not for the nuanced analysis on the game.

I really wanted him to be the next united keeper at one point before De Gea came in

Martial must start against Palace. We could cricket score that game.

Never imagined Lukaku would start off this strongly at United.

Game after game, goal after goal.

We should be comfortably on top of the group come 90 minutes.

What a start by United, can't ask for better really. Hats of to the Russian fans support, it's top notch, unlike the team they're supporting.
