If we don't win at least 19-0 on Saturday, I'm going to be bitterly disappointed.

I'm already a bit concerned about a potential crisis looming with the 2 recent 4-1 results. I cannot believe that this is not being talked about more.

I'm hoping they struggle with the new manager coming in and end up slipping up in the CL!

Record score in a senior football match according to Wikipedia is 149-0 reckon we can do 153-0 on Saturday.

I was quite late catching up with a full viewing of the 1-4 in Moscow. That was some result and performance. I heard Liverpool's result on Tuesday night and thought 'If United come out of Moscow with that, it'll do'. Am I not giving United enough credit? Are they even better than I realise at the moment?

Ok, it has to be remembered, these are a bunch of weaker teams we are hammering lately. However, they are exactly the kind of teams we haven't had the ability to take the sword to in years, or even beat. I'm not going to get carried away yet, but then again I'm not going to treat it like it's not some kind of marked progress.

1-4, nope, I didn't see that result coming midweek in Moscow. By the time I got to see the match, in the early AM of Thursday morning, I had managed to avoid the result so as far as I knew, it could have been 0-0. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be.

Lukaku - absolute master specimen. And yes, I will still mean that if/when he goes through that inevitable goal drought. Martial, another MOTM performance, his second in 6 days, 3 assists (UEFA rules means he gets the assist for Mkhi's goal - mad) and at times, he was breathtaking to watch on the ball. He can do things with the ball that only a handful in the top tier can, his potential is scary and I hope he fulfills it.

Palace at the weekend, sure it could be any score couldn't it? Palace have been objectively horrendous so far this season, leaking goals while failing to score one. 1-1 incoming??

Seriously though, they are in very poor shape at the moment, and reportedly haven't got a senior striker fit for Saturday. I won't really care once we win, but I won't lie, I'd love to see another bag of goals and Saturday presents a decent chance for that to happen.

Look Jayo, some things were said over there, on both sides, and I think we should just move on and completely forget about it, ok? :)

Agree we should be beating them but it won't be as straight forward as people think.

There's a lot more to it than a few bad results. I believe there was a complete breakdown in communication between the powers that be at the club and Ancelotti.

There was also plenty of talk that he had lost the dressing room too.

Just so happens they had enough talent to outperform their rivals over the past 12 months.

A little different to the LVG situation.

The board sacked him before the fans turned on the board, like Lewandowski, for lack of investment. Bayern have overachieved a little bit in the last few. Playing in that league, the way they do business by buying the competition's assets, there is no way they can sustain the level they were at. The only reason they got to that level was Dortmund becoming a genuine threat for a few years. Then they do what they do and buy Dortmund's best players.

Out of all the clubs in Europe I think they sicken me more than any other. They go about thinking they have some moral authority and great reputation but the reality is they're not interested in competition or making the German domestic league stronger. I know that isn't their responsibility but the way they do business they may as well be p**sing on all the other German clubs. Then you have RB Leipzig getting abuse for being immoral. I think Bayern actually have the wealth to be better than that which is the most annoying thing. RP Leipzig, PSG, City could never have competed without outside funding, so it's understandable in a way, everyone just wants to be competitive. But Bayern are actively opposed to competition in Germany and I'll be delighted any time it goes t*ts up for them.

Yeah I heard rumblings of problems outside of results/performances but honestly don't know an awful lot about them.

I don't think it was the same as LVG situation. Just a mad thought to me that he was sacked with a win ratio of 70% but then again the Bayern board have no problem sacking a manager who has been successful, past would show that. Be interesting who they will replace him with.

As for our manager situation I found out today that Jose has the highest win percent for any manager in our history. Early days yet but promising!

Also saw one stat comparing Jose and Moyes reign which just flooded back memories. Despite Jose being in charge of 23 more games than Moyes he has still conceded less goals than Moyes team did. I know two completely different set of players now but still.

Agureo has been in a really bad car accident. Apparently broke a rib and only survived thanks to his seat belt. Saying he'll miss two months due to the injuries but sounds like it could have been a lot, lot worse...

Argentine media are saying 3 months to be fair everyone is speculating they haven't even released a name of who was in car yet and I wouldn't think a specialist or anything has seen him.

On the football side of things if itnwas any other club they would miss him badly but city have loads of options without him and one of the best young players in the world to lead the line.

Aguero, massive loss for city. Huge boost for us. Along with the mendy injury the pendulum may have swung our way for title favourites

Calm down Bangkok it's not like you to be so extreme.

No way should we be favourites for title we are going game by game we have had a handy start to season but after the international break the fun begins we start off with one or two niggling games getting harder one by one that's when we will see just how good this team is.

The best striker in the league out for a potential 3 months, its a massive loss for them. We are currently joint top and 2nd favourites for the league so its not that far a stretch to make us title favourites

I can see Chelsea and City drawing this weekend so I really think we need to batter palace into submission and open up a comfortable distance from the rest of the chasing pack.

As long as it's a win tomorrow I care not about the performance or the scoreline

    Phases of fan logic:

    1. I'll take a win even if we play like muck.

    2. We won, but we played muck; won't be good enough against the top teams.

    3. We won 3-0, but they're mid table and we left 4 clear chances unfinished. Not good enough.

    4. We won against a top 4 side. Not the league leaders though. They're chokers anyway.

    5. Haven't won the Champions League yet, therefore not good enough.

Have to refute that, Jesus has looked good, in all of his what.... 21 league appearances.

You're talking about a striker that has been consistently at the top of his game for 6 seasons in the premiership and scored in excess of 20 goals in 4 out of 6 seasons whilst being out for injury for long duration.

I know who I'd rather have in my team.

In 6 league games he's scored 6 and assisted 3. He is their top scorer and also tied with Lukaku and Morata for league top scorer. I don't see how some can think he's not even City's best striker.

I rate Jesus and that City team up front is looking dangerous, Jesus has scored 4 already and Sterling 5 and Sane too but surely Aguero is a huge loss for that team and I don't see missing Jesus as big as Aguero.

It's unfortunate for them and terrible for the player, no one likes to see injuries especially ones caused like this. City are stacked for creativity and you would expect them to get goals from a whole range of players but that doesn't make the loss of Aguero any less.
